"My partner and I stayed for an evening while visiting Durham. The room and staff exceeded our expectations. Both the bedroom and bathroom were tastefully designed and extremely spacious. We were lucky enough to have a view of the cathedral. Breakfast was of very high quality and served in a very pleasant environment. Breakfast was included, you choose your order and time when checking in. It was delicious, honestly the best scrambled eggs I've ever had! Amazing value for the price, perfect location."

"Well. What strange accommodation. Booked 2 nights about 3 weeks prior to going. When we arrive nobody there. We rang and got told she didn’t realise we were staying then admitted she hadn’t checked any emails. We were told to go next door to get her elderly mum to come and unlock. Her lovely mum bless her had shall we say had memory problems. Anyway. We were sitting in her house being baby sat by an old lady as we weren’t aloud in house by ourselves. This was the first break we had this year....

"The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...
