"We booked the house for a multi-generation family get together, and it was exactly what we needed! The setting is serene and beautiful. I saw the first turtle I have seen in the wild in some time! Inside, the newer home has a very fresh, uncluttered feel and was spotlessly clean. The layout worked great for our family as there are two large and comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, on the main floor. One of those bathrooms is accessible from the main living space, too. And, there were two equally large bedrooms upstairs that share a hall bathroom. All the bathrooms had double sinks and two had bathtubs. The closets were large, and each room had ample dressers, night stands, lightning and nice bedding. One of the biggest highlights was that there was seating for everyone, which is an issue we have run into in other vacation homes! Whether we were in the living room, the dining room, or outside, there was always enough room for everyone to gather and sit.The outdoor spaces are wonderful. The front and back decks are wide with great views. We appreciated and made use of the charcoal grill. Finally, the host was very accommodating and communication was outstanding; he contacted us prior to the visit and responded to a few questions we had very quickly. We look forward to staying here again when we visit the area! I think this property was the cleanest of any I have ever stayed in, which matters to much in terms of my comfort level."

"Awesome place to stay! Super clean, nicely decorated, and all of the amenities! AC was great, kitchen well stocked, appreciated the coffee! Tranquil view in the back, great farmhouse vibe. All utilities worked flawlessly. A Enjoyable stay.Would highly recommend and definitely will book again."

"My husband and I, along with our sweet pooch Auggie, thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing time at the retreat. The place looked just like the pics and the owners and their son (and his gf) were wonderful. The pool was just what I needed and we loved walking on the trails. We are looking forward to a return trip! (Thanks again for the fresh eggs!)"

"We visited from KY and stayed 2 nights in July. Our family absolutely loved this place! From the detailed guide book to homemade cookies and soap, place has so much more than most VRBOs. The home is incredible, clean, comfortable and gorgeously decorated. Our favorite thing was the pier that my two little fisherman caught lots of fish off of! The reservoir and pier are even better than the pics and huge. Very beautiful, natural location that’s still close to Williamsburg. The canoe and kayaks are awesome and we fully enjoyed them. The fully stocked kitchen and wonderful grill made it a breeze to whip up a nice dinner. The hammock, screened porch and fire pit was an added bonus to our vacation helping everyone relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I only wished we would have stayed longer!!!"

"We had a great stay overall. The house was a perfect size for our group, and the check-in and check-out process was simple and hassle-free. The owner was very responsive and quick to address the few issues that came up during our stay, which we really appreciated.The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with everything we needed. We cooked most of our meals at the house and never found ourselves missing any cookware or utensils.The home was generally clean, but in my opinion, it could benefit from a more thorough deep cleaning. I know my standards for cleanliness may be higher than some people’s, but I did notice areas that could use extra attention. Even so, it didn’t take away from our overall experience, and we enjoyed our stay."
