Stay away from Suches Life Rentals
The property is advertised as air conditioned but it has an mobile AC unit that doesn’t make the slightest impact on the temperature because the barn has a metal roof and isn’t insulated. Because there’s no insulation, there’s an ant invasion even in tightly sealed canisters - my dog’s food has hundred of ants in it after 1 night.
I thought I could sit on the balcony when the heat got unbearable inside but because the barn is wood, I was swatting wasps away every few minutes.
I emailed the owner and got no response. I then went to the store she runs across the compound and the owner preceded to argue with ME about MY accent, at one point rounding up her staff to tell me that my accent is Russian, when it isn’t. Strange experience.
The following day, the water went out and I couldn’t take a shower or use the bathroom. When I called, the assistant checked-in with the owner and they agreed to let me check-out early and refund the balance of the 3 days. After my 9 hour drive, I received the message the water was fixed and they wouldn’t be honoring the refund. I am not disputing through my credit card company.
Whatever happens, it’s worth it to be able to warn other people.
