“This cottage is in the perfect location! Pubs in the doorstep, beautiful surroundings, easy access to local attractions. The cottage itself if very well maintained, well equipped and very comfortable. We came with a 2 and a 5 year old and the bedrooms were spacious! We used a toddler bed and this would have easily fitted in the main or the second bedroom. An option of a stair-gate would have made this even better as the rooms open directly into the stairs (as with most cottages). Stairs leading...

“Nice quirky barn conversion and on a working farm if you like that sort of thing. Not well signposted and accessed by a farm track I wouldn't like to negotiate in winter. Given it's a twenty minute walk into Cromford a few tea bags and milk would have been welcome when we got there. Wine nice touch, tea facilities essential. Yes we could have taken our own.. Enclosed shared courtyard good for the dog. Located in a World Heritage site it's ideal for exploring the Derwent Valley including...

“A spacious and comfortable lodge with a pleasant view of the lake (not the marina). It is in a quiet spot slightly uphill from the marina itself. Apart from the Canada geese on the grass, we saw tufted ducks on the lake, a heron in the reeds and oystercatchers on the grass. Plus other birds in the trees. Please note that the cooling towers are not visible from the lodge because of the trees. In any case they are decommissioned.”
