Arrived late after a long motorcycle ride. Kitchen had closed but Emma arranged for a meal for us regardless. I had messaged to explain that it was a birthday surprise trip for my partner and they had done lovely little extras which was such a lovely and kind gesture. We had food at the pub which was very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. The host (unsure of her name but had red hair) was so helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much of an ask for them. I was dreading the shared bathroom as I didn’t realise when I booked but we were the only guests so had it to ourselves. The breakfast was fabulous and very tasty. Overall we would 1000% stay here again and we have already told all our family and friends about it. So welcoming and friendly. Very homely and we can’t wait to return next time. Check in was great. Showed to my room. Which was exactly what I expected. I went down for an evening meal and beverage. I have to say the food was great and very reasonably priced. Again service was great. The issue I had was after the pub closed. I sat on the bottom of the bed a few minutes later it broke and I fell the rough it. I weigh 12 stone 8 lbs. There was nothing I could do so had to sleep on the floor.
