I cannot fault the staff at this resort. I have never experienced such kindness, warmth and genuine generosity! I went with my 7 year old and they were beyond beautiful! The setting is breathtaking. The only downside to this resort is the food. There is very little choice, it’s expensive and the portions not very big. The rooms are also a little dated.

Disappointing stay. Constant issues and honestly I would consider their marketing as false advertising. Advertised multiple restaurants, but only the same single restaurant was open for our whole 4-day stay. Other two never opened. The weather was referenced as the reason for this, even though on 2 of our days the weather was exceptional. Advertised as having "pools". There is one pool. And good luck getting on a lounge around it. Housekeeping failed to replace our towels, drop off customary daily water and replace basic items such as soap. Reception needed to be reminded multiple times that we had asked for them to book our transfer back to the mainland. Our telephone in our room didn't work. Couldn't purchase any soft drink or water bottles in their general store, meaning all had to be ordered from the bar - therefore if you wanted 1.25L bottle of soft drink, you were asked to pay $35FJD (5 x $7FJD single serves). You're on an island so there is no alternative to this. Restaurant options, especially at lunch, are largely pizza, burgers, and pasta. Not the place to be if you're hoping to experience Fijian cuisine. Made a booking for one night at the only restaurant at 7pm. They were unable to seat us, as well as many other parties who had reservations, until around 7:40pm. On another evening, we received our meals over ~1.5hr after ordering. By the way, their meal plan (which thankfully we didn't purchase) is outrageously overpriced and basically just a rip-off.

The tiles around the pool area were slippery amd unsafe. Room cleaning service needs to improve. The greenery and trees around the property were excellent and well maintained. Staff in general very polite, friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.

Sheraton Tokoriki Island was a lovely property right on the beach with beautiful gardens and bures with 4 rooms per Bure. It was a bit limited in dining options with 3 restaurants (coco Palms local Fijian food only open on Tuesday and Friday) an Indian fusion restaurant only some nights and the main restaurant (Waitui) that had two menus rotating each night. Staff needed a bit more training on taking orders as sometimes our meals were messed up ( didn’t arrive or arrived late after other meals were served). Our breakfast was included but some improvements required ( common foods ran out such as pineapple, bacon, cheese, cream etc). But overall we enjoyed our stay as the rooms were lovely and simple, and serviced every day, the pool was great, the location is fantastic, and the staff were very friendly. They advertised a picnic at Hideaway Beach on the other side of the island. We were led over there by Kali who was a fabulous guide, we forgot to bring towels and he walked back to the hotel to bring us 4 towels ( thank you Kali you are a treasure!). Unfortunately the beach was horrible, rocky, with no shelter and lots of rubbish. Sheraton should remove this from their hotel channel as an option, or improve it significantly. We had a fabulous boat trip to Monuriki Island (where Tom Hanks was marooned on Castaway). Captain Dan you were a brilliant tour leader - definitely recommend this trip for FJD 175 pp, which includes snorkelling the reef on Yanuya Island and swimming.

Tokoriki island is beautiful. Staff were fantastic at the resort. We had a great time once we got there. Alcohol is expensive, wine is over priced. Booking a transfer to the island was an absolute nightmare. I sent about 21 e mails trying to confirm a transfer. The transfer ended up costing only $100 less than the entire accommodation. Research this prior to booking.
