Looked great as a hotel , and great location ...BUT
got NO sleep over our 2 night stay as the walls are PAPER thin, and could hear both of my neighbours conversations and toilet visits very clearly....plus the upstairs neighbours shoes on the wooden floors clumping about loudly...
then got woken up both mornings by hearing the EXTREMELY loud mechanisms of everyones clunky doors reverberating round the echoey corridors from early hours and then slamming , followed by hearing every single person that passed the room chatting loudly , as the doors don't even reach the floor to attempt to block the sound.... NOT up to the standard of other Melias in construction/soundproofing terms .
The final straw was discovering there were no Tissues in the room (couldn't get any even after asking) - Coronavirus anyone?
No slippers (on wooden floors in the rooms) - eventually were grudgingly given those ...and not even a pen !
we WERE given coloured pencils and a colouring book though !
We had a kettle..but NO tea coffee or milk? why give a kettle then ?
And no waste bin except a tiny one in the bathroom...
This bewildering not thought through attempt to be "plastic friendly" just decimates what people are used to and expect in a hotel of this price ..
Stayed at Many Melias , but won't be coming back to this one ....
