The woman at check in was very kind however she did try running my debit card again even after I shown my payment confirmation online. She was kind to my son and I while she got us our room key. When my son and I got into our room there was a strong and strange smell. A hole in the ceiling above the coat rack, one by the tub and toilet, but the bed was clean and the cable worked on the tv and we just needed a room for the night. After we brushed our teeth and the front cover fell off the heater / ac unit, we made it to bed. After I fell asleep my seven year old son woke me crying because the hole above the coat rack fell apart more and a bunch the dry wall and insulation fell everywhere. I called the front desk, packed up our belongings, took photos, and waited for the very nice maintenance man, Mark, to clear a path and help us out of our room. Summer at the front desk was again very kind and professional and got us a much more intact room down the hall. Things worked well enough in that room and there wasn’t any ceiling issues to be had so we slept much better. The heater was even quieter. The two did tell me that they were under new management and the company needed to renovate. I’m not sure I’ll ever stay there again despite how nice the couple who helped us get out of our first room was. Things happen and I am incredibly understanding of that! It just wasn’t very restful. The kind professionalism was wonderful though.
