"Not a super fancy but a very nice place to stay. It was of course spotlessly clean and efficiently organized, and the staff was very solicitous and always helpful. We liked the facilities, especially the Onsen, which had both inside and outside baths on the top floor with views over the city. The Ueno Park location was excellent, both for the neighborhood, the proximity to the park and its museums and monuments, and the easy access to transportation. We liked it enough to cancel the other hotel we had booked for our return to Tokyo at the end of our trip, and re-book here. "

"The location is excellent—close to Ueno Station, Ameyoko Market, and lots of food options. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The only downside was the bathroom had a sewer-like smell, which was disappointing. Aside from that, it was a convenient place to stay."
