The facilities were old but very well maintained and also had an European feel to it. The breakfast was very good but the dining area was very special, it was oozing with ambiance. Is it 5 star? no. When we arrived, there was a bit of a mix up in our booking, and the staff did back-flips to accommodate us - they went above and beyond what we'd have reasonably expected, and we remain very grateful. Nice pool to cool off in - literally right outside our door- after a long day at the spectacular Candle Festival. I thought the place was charming, although my girlfriend wanted something more modern. Bathrooms were modern and clean. The only negatives were mattress that sank some in the middle, and the location while very close to city center was down a couple alleys to get to.
