OK place to stay

Pros: comfortable bed and easy access to freeway
Cons: breakfast could have been better
Location: We actually used Ukiah as a place to stay so we could go to Fort Bragg and Mendocino for the day. We didn't explore Ukiah at all.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable which is all we really care about. The breakfast was barely OK. Having a waffle maker was the redeeming factor as our first breakfast there was nothing but cereal, bread, and waffles. There was a still a half hour that breakfast was supposed to be served. The next morning was a bit better since there was yogurt available. The coffee and waffle batter had run out so we had to ask if they replenish them. They did but I felt like they weren't very interested in keeping the breakfast area stocked throughout the entire time breakfast was served since both days we stayed food was depleted or entirely gone.

Nicest Super 8 I have ever been to.

We were very pleasantly surprised and impressed with the level of cleanliness and appearance of the hotel for the price. The breakfast was also very filling and good. The kids loved the mini waffles!

Simple, basic, but clean and neat.

Pros: Reasonably priced
Cons: Waited a while for the shower water to get hot.
Location: Good freeway access, and a local shopping center.
Older motel, but with newer renovations. Clean and neat rooms with no carpeting (nice!). Full cable tv listings.

Great for the money!

Only hotel with vacancy! We were a little scared not place we would normally stay but I must say you get your moneys worth! Room clean!! Staff friendly!!! Convenient location!!!

Nice visit for one evening

Hotel was nice and clean, appeared fairly newly remodeled. Breakfast was decent with eggs, sausage and waffles. Great hotel for the price and great staff.

Seriously disappointed.

This hotel was, unfortunately, a serious disappointment from the beginning. When we arrived, we were very hot and tired and just wanted to quickly check-in and get to the pool. However, the clerk did not know how to run a credit card, and told me that my first two (completely different) cards were declined. When I called the credit company, it was confirmed that the problem was on the merchant end--the correct information was not being entered, but two pre-authorizations had proven that my card was working. When I told the clerk she acted like she completely disbelieved me, and told me again they were declined. I gave her a third card and it went through. When we arrived to the room, we discovered that it was under renovation, with patches all over the walls and bathroom. There was what looked like mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, and disgusting stains on the chair in the room. Four flies were hovering around the sink, and we discovered an earwig in our bedsheets. When I took a shower, the water suddenly became scaldingly hot, and I nearly slipped out of the shower/tub as I jumped out of the way. A few seconds later, the water suddenly became ice cold, and then went back to normal. It's good the hotel is renovating, but there is absolutely no indication anywhere that this is occurring, nor any discount offered for the inconvenience. At best, this hotel stay was worth $75, and I paid two times that. I'm very disappointed with Super 8.
