We had a good time. Comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. Could use a few more washcloths and a trim of the tree and bushes out front.

Weekend getaway

We came to stargaze, but Mother Nature had other ideas and it rained all weekend. We made the best of it and played ping pong, watched movies on the comfy living room couch, and had fun exploring Galeton. We can’t wait to stay again.

Great weekend at Cherry Springs

We had a great weekend at Cherry Springs and the Grand Canyon of PA, even if the weather wasn’t very cooperative. We made the best of it and got lucky with some breaks in the weather. The property was in a great location, was clean, and had everything needed for a family of four. I would recommend it and would stay there again.

Dark Sky Retreat

Perfect location outside of town but near several.

Came for Cherry Springs state park and the stars. Was about 20 mins away but is very central to towns in the area. House is just what you need for a trip. Nothing extra (besides the ping pong), nothing fancy, but everything you want. Loved our stay!

Quiet, beautiful location

We enjoyed our stay very much. I would definitely come and stay again. The house was clean and not cluttered at all. I would suggest you bring supplies like tin foil condiments spices. The place need better lighting in the kitchen. Very nice place..

Nice peaceful getaway

Had a great time. Loved the proximity to pine creek and the view. Everything was very quiet and far enough from rte 6 so traffic wasn't a bother. Kitchen supported us through a few big meals. Close to some great state parks, hiking, and landmarks (PA grand canyon). Thanks for everything!

A wonderful getaway in the woods

This property is clean and well appointed, pictures are accurate and up to date. Check in and check out are self serve, easy, and convenient. We used this property as a jumping off point to explore the trails of the Susquehannock state forest and were not at all disappointed. The property owner is kind and helpful and quickly answered a number of questions that I asked via the VRBO messenger app. We will defiantly be returning to explore even more of the beautiful wilderness in this area and would definitely stay here again as a first choice.

Pleasant cottage

Clean and cozy cottage. Everything in working order, although there was very little water pressure. We wanted to visit Cherry Springs for stargazing and poke around Wellsboro. We'd go back to see Cherry Springs in warmer weather and it rained when we planned to hike in the PA Grand Canyon, but both are within decent driving times to this location

Great Getaway

We came out to the area to see the stars in one of the best areas in the country. Our first night was great, if you’re doing the same I’d suggest downloading the Night Sky app if you have no idea what you’re looking at like I was. 2nd night was too cloudy but we got some good hiking in to make it worth while. Would also suggest reviewing your directions before leaving, there is little to no cell service in certain areas. Loved the home, had everything you could need in a get away would go again.

Starry night!

We booked this to see the Perneid meteor showers and it was the perfect spot! We lucked out and our first night had crystal clear skies. The property is large with lots of open sky space. The home itself is exactly as advertised. Very clean. Easy process. Really a very lovely home. One note… use google maps and not Apple like we did. Apple leads you to the closed end of the road and says you need to walk. You do not!

Perfect couple/small family get away

My wife and I had a great time at this property. I sent a few questions prior to making the trip and they were answered quickly. Check in/out was very easy. The house is nicely decorated and updated. The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor space is very nice for relaxing. The garage is nice to have for storage of fishing gear. There are neighbors but didn’t really see anyone while we were at the house. Great location to downtown Galeton or Coudersport. Feel secluded but very easy to get to Route 6. They list WiFi on the amenities but they do not have it. It really isn’t a big deal though, as cell reception is fine (Verizon). We didn’t need our computers but easily could of used phone as a hot spot. I would stay here again and would recommend to people as well!

Great location

The house was very clean. Whatever they wash their sheets in made the whole house smell fantastic! We cooked our meals in the kitchen which was very well stocked with kitchenwares. We grilled on the patio too!! The location is a perfect jump off to several parks and sights. At night you can see a full sky of stars from the patio swing. Our only little nitpicky comments are: the flies and the air conditioning. It was very hot during our stay and the house air didn't seem to cool things down enough. The back bedroom had an additional unit so the hall was nice and cool lol. Maybe the heat also brought the flies! There always seemed to be 4 in the house investigating our food. Overall, great place, great location, had a good time!

The property was beautiful, clean and peaceful and the stargazing was wonderful. Me and my family had a wonderful time, relaxing and enjoying some of the fun spots in the nearby town. My one small issue is that I could not seem to find where the creek is on the property grounds. The photos show a nice wide open part of the creek that looks easily accessible and is labeled as property grounds. However, it seems to not actually be on the property. I reached out to the host to ask when I arrived and unfortunately for my entire stay I did not get a response, so we did not get to enjoy the creek at all which we were looking forward to very much
