The Four Points by Sheraton Victoria Gateway in Langford, British Columbia was conveniently located just off Highway 1 outside Victoria. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The rooms were decently up to date, but the air conditioning system could be upgraded to allow guests to more easily set their preferences for each room. None of the 4 guests in my party were able to figure out how to turn off the AC at night. It was quite loud when turned on, and we only found preset options on the thermostat, none of which turned it off completely. Some staff at the front desk could use additional training. At check-in, which occurred relatively late for us, we were told we could order room service, but a call to the restaurant informed us we could only eat in or pick up our order ourself to go. However, check-out was very smooth with a different receptionist.

The unit was renovated but the door to bathroom did not close. Food in restaurant is horrible worse than a free buffet with rediculous prices. We had coupons and chose to not even use them after first time. Could not even cook an egg. Air condition 22 - too cold and 23 - too hot Was tricked by google to go to usa website and thought rate was lower until we got the bill.Does not make clear by adding USD to quote it was the email that transferred into CAD - 209 turned into 300

Unfriendly staff, don’t even acknowledge your existence with a thank you or goodbye when handing them your room key at check out. Also, didn’t appreciate whatsoever being called in the room 6 mins past an 11am check-out after spending so much money. Found that quite pathetic and rude. Overall, staff wise, a major disappointment!

Room was spacious and clean. Pool area was clean. Front desk staff didn’t know their rooms, told me there was a pullout couch when there wasn’t. Seemed a little overwhelmed upon arrival due to an event and being oversold (according to person at desk.) Bar/restaurant was either closed before 10pm or booked for private function each night, nowhere else to go.

This hotel has incompetent employees. I paid for this hotel for 1 night through Expedia. The hotel employee charged me over $250 again when I showed my card for a $100 refundable deposit. I contacted the hotel administration for this gross violation. They are in no hurry to return my money to me. I recommend everyone to look more carefully at their bank account!
