Lovely cabins in the resort community of Wrightwood. Small, but nicely modernized units provide a comfortable stay. The price varies widely with day and season. I paid one of the lower prices (base price of $165 plus taxes and fees). That seemed steep, but ok. When they raise the base to $250 or $300 it is simply not worth it. I do like the convenience of walking to the Yodeler or Blue Ridge or the Village Grind, but at the higher price I can stay elsewhere and drive.
Since the facility is not staffed after hours one must communicate by text message and follow the instructions exactly. For those of us old (pre-text, computer, etc.) who are used to handing a clerk a card and I.D. and receiving a key in exchange, the texting and electronic locks can leave one fumbling on the doorstep in chilly weather! Overall, I like the Cabins and find them convenient and comfy for a visit with my Wrightwood family, but only when the price doesn’t seem like gouging.
