“What a little gem of a guest house this is, just yards from the shore of Lake Windermere opposite the marina and just a 20 minute walk from Bowness ( or a couple of minutes max by car ! ) Owners Susanne and Glenn are lovely warm friendly hosts and are very welcoming and more than happy to give you any help needed with info on the local area. The guest house is bright and beautifully clean with a slightly 'chintzy' decor, but at least it has character rather than the sterile corporate identikit...

“My sister and I spent just a couple of nights here and truly fell in love with the house and staff. Every interaction was easy and kind, the house was incredibly well kept, and the grounds were gorgeous. It's located a bit out of the way which is perfect for minimizing crowds and noise! Our room was perfectly sized and the bed/bedding comfortable. All in all, a 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone in any stage of life.”

“We stayed here over the Aug 2025 bank holiday weekend and would definitely recommend this place to stay. The location is ideal - situated on a quiet street and very short walking distance to explore Bowness. The garden at the front of the property is beautiful.
