Rustic cabin
This site is exactly as advertised. It is a rustic cabin in the middle of town. It is cozy and comfortable and close to everything you need. I has everything you need for a short stay.

Timberwolf stay
We basically slept there only. We were at baseball games all weekend but loved the coziness of the cabin Would’ve liked to enjoy the fire pit. Maybe next time It’s a lovely place. Phyliss +Dave

Yes, please come back again.. The firepit is nice on a chilly evening. Next time, you can walk to town and enjoy all the shops and restaurants/bars Waterloo has to offer.

Walking distance to downtown attractions
We needed a quick getaway and this cabin was a perfect fit. This cabin is within walking distance of the downtown area but also very drivable to St. Louis attractions. It is not secluded and within a neighborhood, so you'll pick up on some traffic nearby. Also, we stayed during a colder weekend and the noise from the heater kicking on and off kept waking us up. If you're a light sleeper and plan to use the heater, be sure to bring earplugs. There were some games to use and a television, for more modern conveniences. The kitchen was fully stocked, but quite a few of the dishes we needed to use had to be rewashed. No big deal. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Anniversary getaway
Who knew you could have a cozy cabin experience inside a small town neighborhood! Just blocks from the Main street life was an unexpected bonus. My partner and I will definitely be booking here again.

Superb
Great stay. So close to St. Louis yet far enough away to not be caught up in the hustle and bustle. The cabin was clean, quaint, and peaceful.

Beautiful and comfortable
Was a cute modern town with a bunch of places to grab a bite to eat. We didn’t plan on coming back but after the experience we will definitely be doing this yearly.

Great for Stubbornfest
Property is very clean. Had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable. It is within walking distance to Main Street bars and restaurants. Had a great time during the Waterloo Octoberfest called the Stubbornfest. Great property!! Highly recommend!

Perfect stay in a cozy cabin
The cabin felt much larger than we expected due to the large kitchen island and king size bed. Very clean including an air purifier! Very quiet and peaceful and yet just a short walk to town where there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and breweries. Highly recommend - will be back!

Nice place to stay
The cabin was wonderful with the coffee mornings watching the birds, rabbits and squirrels playing about. Enjoyed all the local shopping with cute boutiques. Bean Cafe was wonderful also. I always try to shop locally wherever I am at to try to keep small businesses alive, so needless to say we shopped til we dropped!! Not bad for 2 62yr old women with disabilities.

Perfect little get away for our 25th Wedding Anniversary!
We had a little bit of miscommunication getting checked in, but Rika got in touch with us and we got everything settled wonderfully. Anything we needed she had in no time! The cabin was stocked well and was so cozy! We had a great time exploring all of the shops and resale stores nearby. We drove into St. Louis MO one day as it was a close drive (approx. 40 minutes). We will definitely stay again if the chance arises.

Authentic Old-time Cabin
Hubby & I enjoyed our 2 night romantic getaway! The cabin is EXACTLY as pictured. We slept like babies in the big cozy bed. The place was well stocked with just about everything a person could need! We roasted marshmallow’s and enjoyed the fire pit. The local stores & shops were wonderful. The only issue I had was my GPS didn’t recognize the address, but people in the neighborhood were very helpful and pointed the way. I definitely recommend staying here! Thank you to Rica for allowing us to stay. I hope Daisy didn’t leave too many fur-balls behind. She didn’t want to leave ❤️

Nice and Cozy for romantic weekend.
Lovely neighborhood walked to the downtown and breakfast. A safe area. Charming cabin. Only minor issue was the box spring squeaked a little bit. ;-) I highly recommend it!

Great Getaway
This cabin is cute and cozy with a great outdoor fire pit area for relaxing in the evening. It is close to town so we were able to walk to most things we were interested in doing. Rika was a great host and checked in with us as soon as we arrived. She was kind enough to share some of the history of the property and give us a look at the chalet also built by her father. We had a great time and would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Charming
Loved this place. Warm, comfortable and charming and the owner lives close by. It had everything a couple would need. If you are looking to visit St. Louis but want to escape the city in the evenings, I highly recommend this place. Not only is the owner close and very helpful, we found the small Mayberry like town warm and charming as well. Several hometown bars and restaurants downtown as well as the friendly residents made this stay place lovely.

Cozy
It was a wonderful cabin with great option for parking. Had EVERY amenity you could need for anything hygiene or needs for travel. Only thing i do have to say about the cabin is that it is in town so if youre looking for a country or isolated situation. However the cabin is WELL BUILT so you hear nothing on the inside. It is also a wonderful quiet town with activities that are available for a small town. Keep in mind some of the attractions in waterloo are only available on the weekends so plan accordingly.

A wonderful getaway

Just what we needed!
Our stay at this cabin was cozy, warm and just what we needed! The snow just added to the atmosphere. Cute little town, with everything you need and the drive to downtown St. Louis was not far at all. We celebrated my husband’s birthday, and got some much needed “us” time! We would recommend this place to all of our married friends looking for a weekend getaway.

Love this place!
The cabin was lovely, had everything we needed and was very relaxing. Plenty of heaters for the cold winter nights and the huge bed was great. Host was very responsive, we had a couple of questions and everything was sorted quickly.

Hidden Gem
Visiting family in area and so glad we found this hidden gem. It’s like stepping back in a simpler more relaxing time. We lived in Waterloo for 12 years, less than a mile away, and never knew this place existed. Looking forward to staying again when we visit family.

Home away from home
The cabin was an amazing home base during a week long get-away trip. It was clean, so many nice little amenities were included, the location is awesome (Waterloo is a great little town, Stubborn German is our new favorite brewery!), and Rika is an amazing, thoughtful host! Would definitely recommend to anyone and would stay again. The rates and the experience beats a hotel room hands down!

Near St. Louis
Our stay was comfortable. I would recommend it for couples only. Towels were nice and the bed was very comfortable. There was non perishable food left by previous guests if you want it. Another pitcher for beverages would have been nice to have. No liquid body wash provided. There is no picture of the bathroom in the description for good reason. It is very small, but that is not really the issue. The shower head is mounted on the ceiling. There is no way of getting out of the flow unless you turn it off. Rika lives next door if you need her. She is a very nice host. If you are into Disc Golf, there is a very nice course and park less than a mile away. Waterloo is a quiet and quaint little town.

Short weekend get away
My wife and I rented this cabin for a short weekend get away. Cabin is in convenient setting to downtown...within walking distance. Location is key, and this cabin has it. Easy travel north, south, east, or west. Very quite area. Kitchen is well stocked, bed was comfortable, and all amenities were as listed. The only criticism is that the bathroom is very small. Not that I need some large, luxurious bathroom, just that everything is in very close quarters. Cabin was clean, comfortable, and accommodating. Would def rent again if in the area.

The cabin was very clean and cozy! It had everything we needed. It had a true cabin feel while also having a nice kitchen and TV. We enjoyed walking downtown to eat and we also used the grill several times.

Cozy Cabin
Really enjoyed the cabin for our July 4 getaway. Cabin had everything and more that we could have wanted. Had fun wandering around Waterloo (our first time there) People were friendly and food was great. Especially Bean Tree . Loved their breakfasts. We had a nice fire outside on the 4th at the cabin and listened to fireworks. Found some historical places to go through. Made for a very relaxing weekend. Cabin gets an A in our book.
