Dream Ridge Lodge - Spacious, Private and Centrally Located

Welcome to the newest Lodge in the Barr Top Rentals Fleet. We acquired this wonderful location in early August 2022 and it has quickly become a favorite of our many guests since we opened.

This might be the best location for a vacation rental in the entire PA Elk Range. Less than 1 mile from Cross Scenic Overlook, 3.2 mile from Palumbo Lodge, 4 miles from Medix Run and 5 Miles from the Winslow Hill Elk Visitors Center. The lodge is situated on 9 acres, is very private and has a huge yard to enjoy. There are very few places in this remote region where you can be this close to all the main attraction and just 20 minutes from Saint Mary's (In case you forgot anything or just want a different option for dining out). Another benefit to the location is its accessibility year round. The cabin is accessed from a freshly paved and well maintained township road that also welcomes ATV riding.

We provide everything we can think of for your stay. From a fully furnished kitchen to bed linens and bath towels, we try to make your travels as easy as possible. Enjoy the spacious property and giant front and back yard. Bring the baseball gloves, frisbee or whatever you enjoy outdoors. Grill on the deck (we provide the propane) or over a fire in the back yard fire pit. (Sorry, we do not provide firewood).

Cozy up in front of the wood pellet fireplace in the winter months. Wood Pellets for heating can be purchased just about anywhere.

If you have to work while you're on vacation you're in luck. Unlike many places in the elk range, we have access to and provide free unlimited high speed internet.

We can accommodate up to 8 guests and have 4 bedrooms so everyone can have their privacy. We look forward to having you as a guest.

Dream Ridge Lodge was very clean and comfortable! The location was excellent. We saw lots of deer in the yard, and we were lucky enough to see plenty of elk nearby. I definitely recommend this house.

Don't look any further! This place is perfect! Relaxing,quiet! Very,Very clean! Sat out every night enjoying the beautiful evenings. We saw turkey, saw 3 foxes playing in the field next to this place. Saw several deer and a fawn. Two pileated woodpeckers and other beautiful birds. We did see an elk and her baby at one of the lookouts. We cooked out several evenings. This place has everything you need. We will be back! Great place to Celebrate our Wedding Anniversary!

Wonderful get away. Perfect space for a small retreat where relaxation and downtime were the goal. Everything was as described. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed. Outside grounds were beautiful. It rained most of our weekend, but we will definitely be back to hopefully enjoy a fire and some time outside.

Great Place!
We really enjoyed our stay. We spent most of our time at the campfire and in the kitchen around the table. Love how quiet and peaceful it was. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, baking sheets, mixing bowls. Walmart was only about 20 minutes away. Local wineries were on the way to Walmart....good wine! This was a great place for a relaxing get away.

This was our second stay and we loved it once again. We were supposed to have 7 guests but, due to illness, only 3 were able to make it… So we didn’t need the new bedroom in the basement but it looked like a great addition… hopefully we will get to use it in the future. The upstairs rooms are comfortable and set up nicely. The first bedroom on the left could use a more cushioned mattress topper but not a deal breaker by any means. The whole house is well arranged and fully stocked and everything was very clean. We didn’t use the outside space much since we were often out elk sighting and visiting family at a nearby campground but it looks great for those wanting to grill or sit by a fire. The porch swing was nice to sit and sip morning tea/coffee. Overall, no complaints and we would highly recommend!

Perfect location to Elk County visitor center
We got together with some of my family to enjoy Elk County. The house was perfect for us. Very clean and we liked the way it was decorated. The location was perfect. A short 10 minute drive to the Elk county visitor center and elk viewing areas. Saw deer in the backyard. Highly recommend this house.
