The Treehouse @ French Lick Farms- Unique "Off the Grid" Cabin on the Lost River

Riverfront cabin with kitchen and balcony
The Treehouse Cabin is the crown jewel of French Lick Farms if you aren’t ready to be around others or are looking for a more remote stay to leave the stress of everyday life behind and reconnect with nature.   An “off the grid” solar/propane powered two story cabin that provides a peaceful and serene getaway featuring dual level wrap around decks and sweeping views over the surrounding woods, Lost River and neighboring farm.

The first floor of the cabin features RV style kitchen and bath - with propane powered hot water heater, refrigerator and gas stove.  The dinette converts to a second bed.  The outdoor patio features a massive BBQ, picnic table and fire pit for evening stories around the campfire.

The second story features a desk, closet, queen size bed and a Kenwood DDX3X powering Bose patio speakers for entertainment. You can bluetooth connect your phone to the system and enjoy music while relaxing.

While all the lights, kitchen appliances and water heater do not require it, there is an ultra quiet generator available for those who wish to power the bedroom AC for the warmer months. We feature a gas stove with automatic thermostat for those cool nights. Because this is "off the grid" there are numerous USB plugs to charge phones via the solar power and batteries, however there is only 1 electrical outlet inside the Treehouse that requires the generator to be started to operate.

There is a pot belly wood burning stove on the second story deck for the cooler months. In addition, a fire pit out front with pre-cut wood for campfire stories and s’mores!

The Treehouse Cabin is truly your opportunity for a digital detox to disconnect and unplug as it does not feature cable or Wi-Fi on the property. It's the perfect backdrop and breathtaking scenery you need to unplug from the outside world. There is a TV as well as a DVD player and an assortment of DVDs but it does not have cable service.

I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have so please don't hesitate to ask. Because this is an "off the grid" cabin, the cell service is spotty depending on your provider, there is no internet, WiFi or cable tv, so if you are looking to check out and disconnect - this is the perfect property for you. Currently, T-Moblie and Verizon have better service/reception than AT&T and Sprint.

If you are looking for a more full-service hotel type stay or need to work/stay connected this may not be the right property for you. Feel free to ask any quesitons you may have to make sure we can meet your expectations!
Air-conditioned accommodations at this cabin offer fireplaces and DVD players. Rooms open to balconies. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, cookware/dishes/utensils, and coffee/tea makers.

Bathrooms include showers. Business-friendly amenities include desks and desk chairs.

Amazing Place!
Amazing tree house in the woods with great views. Cozy. Easy to use everything there. Everything we needed was already provided and the owners / managers kept in touch daily if anything was needed.

Relaxing get-away
Everything at the treehouse was perfect. The views were breathtaking. The treehouse was stocked with everything one might need. From plush bath linens, all the coffee fixings imaginable, to s’mores supplies for the campfire. Even our pup did not want to leave. We will definitely be coming back!

Perfect Weekend
We needed a weekend to disconnect and recharge from our incredibly busy, demanding and stress-filled grind. We researched a lot of different places, but landed on the charming, unique and secluded Treehouse location. There is no wi-fi or cell signal - I drove about a mile to make necessary calls and texts - so we were forced to *egad!* relax and disconnect. The property is as wonderful as shown online. Scenery is beautiful and the fireflies lit up the night. They grounds and the property were immaculate; everything was in perfect working order; we had complete privacy for the weekend; the electrical setup was NEVER a problem; and all we had to do was bring our food and a couple of bottles of wine and we had the perfect weekend. There were deer everywhere. The owners and crew are top notch and I wouldn’t change a thing on the property. (Oh, wait… Yes, I would. The punk rock cow picture upstairs needs to go. Hahha!) We loved it.

100 percent enjoyable!
We enjoyed every minute we were there! The cabin was clean and had everything you would need to make your self at home. The views were beautiful and the hiking… Wow! We brought our dogs and felt that we could stay for much longer. The cabin was warm, shower was hot and the barbecue grill was a great way to stay and enjoy outside! We plan on coming back!!
