The Cottage, Whitstable

"No better place than this to stay in Whitstable. Center location at the seaside between harbour and Oyster Company. The Cottage is truly a beautiful house and perfecty for 4 adults. It depends on the kids if they feel comfortable in the attic because it has very limited space, much like a small tent, but the view from the window is awesome. Parking in the vicinity is a problem. The house can be reached by car to unload and load without a problem, but free parking anywhere is almost impossible. Local car parks are not cheap. We used Justpark to find a parking for our 8-day stay. The only thing that could be improved is the coffeemachine. It's the newest model Nespresso with the pouches instead of the cups. This makes a great cup of coffee, but these poaches are not sold in the stores in the vicinity. So we couldn't use the machine. Nevertheless we already booked for next year and we can't wait to get back here!"

"Property is in a great location. Well equipped large kitchen, lovely bright bedrooms & it was good to have 3 rooms with double beds which were very comfortable. The outside area is small but it was nice to be able to sit outside."

"Loves Sea Holly. House had everything we needed. Really well equipped. Location is perfect just a few mins walk to the seafront and town and free street parking fairly easy.Will return if going to Whitstable again."

"Location and decor was very nice. The place has a lovely feel and was well maintained overall. Washing machine didn’t work during our whole stay even though host was notified on day of arrival. Two unexpected visits from an employee of the host who came in to deal with an ant problem that a previous guest had complained about. Bit intrusive. Told not to turn on radiators, so was very cold inside as they didn’t come on automatically as advised they would. Spiky staples in the staircase coming through the carpet cut my daughter’s feet and ripped my son’s socks."
