“Our room was spacious, comfortble and clean. The breakfasts were very tasty and substantial. We ate dinner in the restaurant where the food was delicious with generous portions. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We would highly recommend and would happily stay there again.”

“Absolutely stunning property for those who like a bit of history. Host was so accommodating to our needs. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we felt so relaxed making the most of the roll top bath. Breakfast was top drawer (loved the sausages especially). Nothing to fault. We’re already booked in for next year!”

“We used this a base for the beachyhead marathon. Was perfect for our needs. No lift though so expect to be tackling multiple flights of stairs through the labyrinthine property. It was very reasonably priced for location. Though that does translate to the amenities, but if you are looking for a short stay budget option with a bar open 24 hours for guests and 24 acess to pizza, its a great shout and will save you a few quid. Its about 5 or 10 minutes from some excellent local pubs.……

“The room was beautiful!! It’s recently been done apparently, and there was a lovely hamper and fridge with food and drinks included. The only issue was the shower wasn’t amazing and was hard to get to the right temperature. Otherwise staff super lovely to and great pub! Highley recommend - Lauren ”
