Top Winchelsea Hotel Reviews
Best Western York House Hotel
"Great hotel. very helpful staff, especially when I dropped my necklace down the sink!"
The View Hotel
"Prime location!.. Eastbourne Pier to one side and a walk up to Beachy head the other side. Sea view with very clean modern rooms. Delicious freshly cooked food and friendly staff."
Holiday Inn Ashford North A20 by IHG
"Good location for the Channel Tunnel and amenities in Ashford. Good breakfast. TVs need an upgrade in the rooms though! Bathroom ok, not amazing"
The Burlington Hotel
"Large hotel stuated across from the pier, parking at the rear for about 40 cars or so at £6 a day. Excellent buffet breakfast at £10 which is very popular with the guests. Staff are very helpful and courteous. The hotel is an old hotel and quite obviously needs some renovations and maintenance but I would stay here again, its in a really good location and comparing it to other hotels its very popular and very reasonably priced."
East Beach Hotel
"Staff all helpful. Responded promptly to our queries.Rooms very clean and the hotel was well decorated and appeared to be well maintained. Location on seafront excellent and you can park conveniently, and can buy a day parking voucher for £2.50 from hotel reception. Breakfast menu restricted but cooked to order and was hot."
Majestic Hotel Eastbourne by Belvilla
"Hotel needs renovation , room not that clean , sometimes hot water in bathroom only tepid shower water took ages to run away . We stayed 9-14 Sep bar was never open, when we arrived we was told lift out of service but maintenance engineer was working on it , we never saw any one working on lift , all in all you get what you pay for"
Hythe Imperial Hotel Spa & Golf
"Some hiccups with equipment not being maintained, eg coffee/juice machine and old p.o.s system causing long wait for food and drink"
The Grand Hotel Eastbourne
"The Grand Hotel is a long-established, traditional hotel with a distinctly classic look and feel. The aesthetic is not quite my personal preference, but I had a good stay and was particularly impressed by the service. I emailed the hotel before arriving and received a prompt and helpful response. My room was spacious, with generous wardrobe space, a safe, a Nespresso machine with pods, two complimentary bottles of water and bespoke bathroom amenities. Service throughout my stay was excellent. Rita and Sylvia at reception were both extremely helpful, as was the valet team. Room service occasionally took a few attempts to reach, but once through, they were attentive and the food arrived promptly. I also overslept one morning and nearly missed breakfast. They kindly arranged a tray and brought it to my room. The food was consistently excellent. The hotel has a beautiful seafront setting, especially on a clear day and the lounge and afternoon tea are clearly popular with local guests. If you favour traditional grand hotels, classic interiors and attentive service, The Grand should suit you well. For me, the quality of the service was what made the stay."
