“Clean, everything you need, walking distance to beach, nice and quiet. Would be 5 star except sofa smells, plant overgrown on entrance to property and back door very stiff and hard to lock. Lovely little estate of pretty houses”

“Charming pub in a very good location in Tenterden high street - excellent if visiting Chapeldown or the Kent and Sussex Railway. Our room was very spacious and the bed was super comfy. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was good. and a secure car park is included with the stay.

“Our room had a very ugly view over the bins and kitchen extractor fans. This created a loud hum until around 10pm and also brought some cooking smells into the room. The walls are also very thin and we could hear the room next door very clearly.
However, after midnight the noise died down and it was quiet.
The hotel is in a nice, very rural location.”

“Wonderful stay. Clean and with all the amenities you need. Great location. Privacy. Lovely pub with great food, super friendly. Had a small issue so we called Jonny who answered on the 2nd ring, talked us through the solution, and then gave us some tips on things to do. Great service. Highly recommend and we’ll be back in the autumn.”

“A lovely hotel with many original features.
The dinner and breakfast were lovely, there was a nice selection of both.
The room was great and plenty of plugs to charge devices.
I liked the lounge/bar area with a wide selection of books and games available for patrons.
It's very well located for trips to Battle itself and Hastings.
Would very happily stay here again.”
