![Butrint, a Unesco World Heritage site.
Inhabited since prehistoric times, Butrint has been the site of a Greek colony (800 BC), a Roman city (44 BC) and a bishopric (5th centrury). Following a period of prosperity under Byzantine administration, then a brief occupation by the Venetians, the city was abandoned in the late Middle Ages after marshes formed in the area. The archaeological site is a repository of ruins representing each period in the city’s development and that entity is unique. Moreover the ruines are situated in a beautiful natural setting.
The photo shows the famous baptistery, a major ruin from the 6th century and an ancient Roman monument adapted to the cultural needs of Christianity. "Has a secluded private beach. Were a young couple and took 30 minutes walk to saranda promenade- quite a up hill walk and has alot of character because of residents nearby and cemetery. We always passed a black labrador dog who is really friendly and polite. The room isn’t that modern but has everything you need: Aircon, Smart TV: Netflix/Youtube. The shower pressure is also great. One tip is if you don’t want them to clean your room, tell them directly. We had the DND sign but they still did it...

"Hotel is a out of town (walkable distance) however while some may see is as negative I see it as a bonus. Hotel comes with private beach, sunbeams included in the price, seaview rooms. Hotel restaurant is absolutely outstanding. It had everything we needed for nice relaxing holidays."

"I’ve been around more than 20 countries. Hundreds of hotels. I can easily say, one of the most warm and welcome staff I have ever met. Whatever you need; they will help you out. Location is also good, 3 min away from Mango beach and 16 min drive to ksamil. "

![Butrint, a Unesco World Heritage site.
Inhabited since prehistoric times, Butrint has been the site of a Greek colony (800 BC), a Roman city (44 BC) and a bishopric (5th centrury). Following a period of prosperity under Byzantine administration, then a brief occupation by the Venetians, the city was abandoned in the late Middle Ages after marshes formed in the area. The archaeological site is a repository of ruins representing each period in the city’s development and that entity is unique. Moreover the ruines are situated in a beautiful natural setting.
The photo shows the famous baptistery, a major ruin from the 6th century and an ancient Roman monument adapted to the cultural needs of Christianity. "The hotel was new and well appointed. The view was amazing. The bed was very comfortable. However, the staff were particularly unfriendly bordering on rude. The breakfast was limited. The stairs were constantly wet. The area was under development and this was not mentioned in the hotel description. The area was not accessible to shops/restaurant on foot. Particularly hard for older people. "

"Has a secluded private beach. Were a young couple and took 30 minutes walk to saranda promenade- quite a up hill walk and has alot of character because of residents nearby and cemetery. We always passed a black labrador dog who is really friendly and polite. The room isn’t that modern but has everything you need: Aircon, Smart TV: Netflix/Youtube. The shower pressure is also great. One tip is if you don’t want them to clean your room, tell them directly. We had the DND sign but they still did it until we requested otherwise (great job just didn’t want someone else cleaning up our mess) "

"The room was great, lots of space and balcony was fabulous. The sea view wasn’t quite what shows in pictures. We know it’s end of summer but hotel advertises restaurant open for breakfast lunch and dinner along with beach bar. Only breakfast served. Everything else rolled up. I would have appreciated notes on hotel indicating they shut down restaurant and bar at end of season. I book places based on location and amenities. The breakfast was good selection but cold because they don’t use anything to keep food warm. By end of stay the tomatoes and cucumbers had been put out so many times they were shriveled up and pretty sure coffee was not made fresh daily. Not sure I would stay here again in season. "

"Disappointing. The entire hotel was filled with plastic plants in a city desperately needing nature and life. The breakfast was mediocre and cold every day, the coffee like dishwater. The beds were soft foam mattresses that gave no support. The staff had no suggestions for activities in the town. The internet did not function in the rooms most of the time and was weak at best. The chairs in the balcony part of dining area are too low for the tables. Staff try but the facilities are inferior. "
