The iconic Armored Dove of Peace, by famed graffiti artist, Banksy. Unfortunately, Maha Saca, the founder of the Palestinian Heritage Center, is currently at a war of her own with the renter of the next shop who insists on parking his van in front of the Peace Dove. So my picture of it is not great. She, the sassy lady she is, had us write a letter of our disappointment to the shop owner and leave it on his car. Banksy stayed with Mrs. Saca for 3 days while in Palestine, and the Peace Dove was his last installation before leaving. He went over several ideas with Mrs. Saca before finally agreeing on the piece she approved of. Despite gov influenced fears, Palestine turned out to be a fascinating country full of wonderful welcoming people. I highly recommend anyone in the area to go.
