“We have stayed at the Cook for camp five summers now. This is the first time I saw service levels lowered. The staff are great but this year we didn’t have room cleaning, towel service or trash removed for the four nights we stayed. Also, I have noticed the breakfast menu hasn’t changed in five years and can get a little boring. I understand this is the only hotel in Baton Rouge that is run by the alumni so I hope they receive this feedback that their hotel is no longer price competitive for the……

“The property was quiet. The trash cans outside were full. While checking the room out when we first got there someone walked into the room saying it was their room and we had just checked in. The staff fixed it but that was dangerous. Will not be staying at this property again.”

“Rooms had strong smell of like wet clothes . It was just a strong smell and a bed had a bug in it. Small roach was found in restroom.”

“Room was clean and the staff were ok but the breakfast was poor only offering limited choices and unhealthy ones at that. It’s obvious that the hotel has had some updating but needs considerably more but the worst thing for me was the gym as this was very dirty and had equipment that had not been maintained and was rusty. I guess you get what you pay for.”

“We had a 2 night stay and it was not what I read on the reviews we got changed to 3 different rooms throughout our stay got woken up to room flooded with water from the AC unit, the pool water was hot like a hot tub would be also the hot tub didn’t work they had leaks throughout the hotel also have a mildew smell in the rooms because of leaks and what not the beds was not comfortable mattress are worn down, but other than that the front staff was great and helpful as much as possible”
