“Heaven on earth. Absolutely unique and amazing stay. From the welcome sightings of the stork nests to the view of beautiful horses calmly standing by the lake I fell in love with the environment. Our check in was fun and very enjoyable. Perhaps the welcome wine glass made the experience that more enjoyable. Great friendly staff that gave a great overview of what the Herdade had to offer. Regret only spending one night but we can’t wait to go back and take full advantage of all that we missed……

“What an amazing hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, our room was large, and very clean, but the real star of the show is the stunning castle itself. There are so many areas to explore. Sitting rooms, the chapel, a pool table room, and the outside pool area is from a fairytale. It’s like going back in time. We felt like royalty. 100% recommended.”

“Soggiornato di passaggio tra Nord e Sud del Portogallo. Facile arrivarci con ampio parcheggio. Sale grandi, molto pulito personale molto gentile e competente. La piscina è abbastanza grande. Colazione molto varia e generosa. C'è di tutto dal bacon, al latte di soia e dolci tradizionali molto buoni. Camere ampie e ben insonorizzate. Terrazzo con sedia e tavolino.”

“It is a beautiful property. However, if you are not staying here with small children you may be disappointed. The hotel clearly markets itself as very child and family friendly, and it has dedicated children’s areas that are very close to main areas such as the dining room. As a result it is not peaceful in many areas of the property. Even dedicated adult swimming pool hours in the spa are not respected by guests with their children. And the dining room at dinner was not at all peaceful. They……
