“We had a family re-union with 25 people. The location of this property could not have been better. We were within minutes of walk to the lake, restaurants and train station. The kitchen, bedroom and bathrooms were very well stocked. The main living area and kitchen is on the 2nd floor while the bedrooms are either in the basement, 1st floor or 3rd floor. So, older people may find it hard to go up and down multiple times. Overall, our group had a great time.”

“The building is from the 19th century which made it a really unique experience. The hosts were amazing and quick to respond. We went to check out the Linkin Park concert in the United Center and it was a 5min walk from the property. ”

“There are items to note that are outside of control of the property owner and generally those are items I can easily look past. To note they are a whole house gut rehab construction site next door, and the property backs to an alley overlooking a raucous patio for a bar. Cool place and wanted to go chill on the patio, but they partied late... late into the night. Again, those are FYI's to the next renters. “We had a group meeting with colleagues from a nonprofit organization. It was perfect for a comfortable stay. There were enough bedrooms for our group. We conducted meetings using the TV (brought our own HDMI cable) in the living room, had small group discussions in various shared spaces, had meals at the spacious dining table and coffee breaks over large island in the kitchen. It was a bonus to have a private space in the Garden unit for trainers to prepare. Overall, we are very happy with the...

“Perfect location for a wedding at Salvage One. The only thing at the house is the living space is on the 2nd and 3rd floor. I don’t recall reading that in the description. We had some older adults who had a bit of a hard time climbing the steps.”

Having the garage was an extra bonus and not common. The towels and bedding were luxurious, the kitchen well stocked, and our host Sarah was so kind and accommodating of our arrival/ departure times.
