I loved the house and proximity to the beach. The layout of the house was perfect for us: two families of three, the kids were 10 and 6. The first floor, there is a small foyer with washer/dryer. The second floor has four bedrooms. We loved the dual master bedrooms with attached bathrooms. The mattress in the blue room was very comfortable. The first room on the right has bunk beds and there is a short hall to the left with the main bath and the bedroom with a queen and twin bed right next to the pink master. Upstairs is the main floor, which is spacious and had everything we needed. We brought a Keurig just for personal preference. The kids loved the loft area with the pool table.
The reason I say it is not for everyone is that there are a LOT of stairs. You have to carry supplies/groceries up 2.5 flights of stairs, which is challenging for someone who isn't in great shape or injured. A frail, elderly relative, could not havee managed. The beach is right outside, but there is a very steep hill, level with level with the first story of the house. So, just a warning... most people will have no problems, but injured or elderly would struggle.
The decks were amazing, every room in the front of the house had them. The main decks wrapped around the side and part of the back, which was great in the morning if you needed some shade.
There are some water toys left behind, which was nice, pails, noodles, etc. And the outdoor showers and hose were handy for sand removal. I also saw baby gear like high chair and playpen.
The linen and check-out are not great. When I went to make the queen bed for my son, the mattress pad was stained with either urine or a LOT of drool. The pads stay on the beds, we were instructed not to put them in the dirty linen bins, so I am not sure if/when they are washed. The king sheets had blood stains. The blankets were basically hidden. On day 3, I found a trash bag full of comforters in the bunk room closet. We had been using some thin blankets we found in the rooms. Check-out time kept changing. By Saturday am, the app was telling me to be out by 9am. So can't check in til 5/6, but leave by 9... and they ask if you want a $125 credit to leave Fri by 4pm so we felt rushed to leave.
I am out of space, but those are my main take-aways. I had a great week, loved the secluded area, I found it worth the extra drive time. My injured knee, however, is not so happy. :)
