“We had a really nice stay, and the staff were excellent, as was the food. Our room was in the oldest part of the Grade 2 listed building so there were some low doorframes & plenty of stairs, but I would stay here again & it's in an excellent location (with off-street parking) for exploring the area.”

“On arrival we were greeted by the 2 staff on duty and after a short wait (because we arrived early and a room change) we were shown to the room and the breakfast was explained to us as was the after hours procedure. All staff we met were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very good, lovely to be able to sit outside and enjoy the early morning sun. It was also nice to be able to sit outside in the evening The room was clean and we had a fan to help try and keep the room cool……

Excellent breakfast and a good menu for dinner - well presented and very tasty. The highlight though were the staff throughout. “We were not told there would be a wedding in progress so the music was quite loud until 11pm. There was no option for early takeaway breakfast at 8am, and no option for room only. The restaurant still set up for wedding, with chairs stacked up.The female staff in the restaurant were very nice and the food excellent, something a bit different. Our shower head kept falling down & the toilet flush handle broken. The room was spotlessly clean.”
