When you find a bit of time to spend at home base, rest tires hiking legs and kick back in the living room to reminisce with loved ones as a movie plays on the large TV. During any high peak time, renters have to park in the lower lots and be shuttled up to the top. Guests are allowed to load and unload at the building before parking in the lower lots if they prefer, especially during high peak times and holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Fourth of July, Highland Games, Willy worm festival, Land of Oz. Parking up top is for owners or with approval from Sugar Top Resort. Sugar Top Resort makes these decisions based on the occupancy.

Top of the mountain

Renting this unit from Picasa was not only a good savings from other fees charged by other entities, but the condo was very reasonable price and serve the purpose as needed

Great place in a gorgeous location

The location of this place is unbelievable. Right on top of Sugar Mountain at 5200 feet. The condo is fully equipped with everything one needs. Just need to get groceries in town. The balcony is very large and the views from it are unreal. Everything was in good working order. We will be back.

Good budget-friendly condo

The price and incredible view makes this place worth it in the Spring. But I'd be hard pressed to pay more that what I did. It's a simple condo with comfortable recliners and beds (the queen bed is quite firm, though.) It's literally right by the elevator, and there's no condo to the left of it. Kitchen supplies are scant, so bring your own seasonings/oils/dish towels. Shower heads are low, so prepare to bend backwards to rinse your hair. Overall, I would stay here again now that I'm aware of it's shortcomings. Vacasa was responsive to our issue of needing fresh sheets and they were delivered to the front desk the next day.

We really enjoyed our stay. Wouk’s not stay in this unit again, but the complex is undergoing significant positive changes. We are considering purchasing a u it there after touring properties for sale there. David Holden, our agent, showed us those units for sale There were others we wanted to see but they were booked for the weekend.

Tired and odd building to vacation in

The unit is ok. It needs updating and a refresh. The sofa and recliners are very old. The kitchen and bathrooms need repairs and paint. The bed in the master was comfortable. The tvs are tiny. The kitchen is ok, basic offerings. The shower is great if you are under 5'5. The building is a mix of vacationers and owners. As a vacationer we were made to feel like we were not wanted there. From workers to owners all very odd. Just know this if you do rent in this building. The location is central to boone and blowimg rock.

Great Views from Sugar Top

There were no instructions on what to do when you leave. My friends had a different unit that did have instructions so I just followed theirs.The sliding door made a loud whistle all night due to the wind. The fireplace also squeaked the whole night but was not as loud as the sliding door. Pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance.From the parking lot you can walk to Oma’s to ski down. That was the best part of this condo. The most painful aspect was no parking at the top. Guests can’t park at the top or walk to or from the top to the parking lot. The shuttle from the lobby to the parking lots was fast but only available starting at 7am. Dealing with a shuttle (SUV) when you have ski equipment was another struggle.

No Wi-Fi inspite of listing as providing Wi-Fi

I rented a property that is managed by Vacasa. I listed Wi-Fi as an amenity. Wi-Fi is a must have. When we checked in we learned that Wi-Fi was not available in our unit but in the lobby. Our unit was on the 7th floor. That is absolutely not acceptable. Other issues: no toilet paper in 1 bathroom. No paper towels in the kitchen. No Kleenex anywhere. Unclean kitchen sink. Mold in the kitchen cabinet. Poorly stocked kitchen. No pan to cook in. No spoon to cook with. I have photos of the dirty kitchen sink and mold in cabinet.
