We loved the location of this house for hiking, sightseeing, etc. It was about 25-30 minutes to Blowing Rock, Boone, and Grandfather Mountain. Banner Elk is a cute little town as well with nice restaurants/taverns. The house was very clean and stocked with utensils, towels, etc. If staying longer than a day or two, bring shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The outdoor fireplace and hot tub were awesome, especially after a day of hiking. The only negative, we had to go out and buy a lighter to start the fireplace on the deck. Highly recommend this rental. Hopefully we’ll be back if in the area again.

We had a great stay for our wedding get away. The hot tub and porch was very nice and the whole house felt very cozy. The driveway situation was not conveyed accurately in the listing as it is very steep and narrow resulting in some scratches on my car from branches on either side. But the house as a whole was very nice, well kept and suited my wife and I very well.

Great mountain escape

Went for Grandfather Mountain Highland Games so my daughter could compete. This was the perfect place after a day of stress and dancing. My girls loved the hot tub and the absolute peace and quiet. The wrap sround porch surrounded by trees is a definite plus. The kitchen had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.My family didnt want to leave.

Grandfather mountain get away

My wife and I stayed in this lovely home and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately the heat went out on the second night but the rental company was very nice and had a company come out and repair the system. They also had another cabin that we could have moved to just in case the system wasn’t repaired for the next night. Very helpful and accommodating!!

Peaceful Mountain Get Away

We selected this property for its wrap-around porch overlooking the wooded mountainside and the stream down below. The sounds of the calling birds and flowing stream were exactly what we wanted to escape from our busy lives. The cabin was very clean and well-equipped, and the location is close to good restaurants and shopping for any of your needs. We're already looking forward to our next visits!

Family Getaway

This is a well stocked cabin with lots of attention to detail. We were in town for a weekend graduation celebration. It was the perfect place; grill, hammock, outdoor fireplace, hot tub and not too far from town. The driveway is a bit steep so not sure I would want to navigate in winter, but not an issue for us in May.

Perfect spot on a stream

Sitting in the hot tub on the deck listening to the stream in the back yard... it doesn't get better than that. Perfect house between Valle Crucis and Banner Elk and not too far from Boone or Blowing Rock.

Great property, but hot tub isn’t working. Something is wrong with the thermostat or heater. We notified the realty company the first day. It was never fixed. Thermostat was locked at 65. It got cold. It has the potential to be a great place but appears to not be maintained that well. Other features were great. We aren’t that picky. However, I would not stay here again. Considering what I paid for the cabin, I don’t think it was worth it. I’ve had better results with other hosts at cheaper cabins.

Truly a Log Cabin Heaven!

My husband and I had an excellent 7 night stay at this amazing mountain log cabin. Check in was simple, the house was spotless, and had everything we needed. The wraparound porch was our favorite place to sit and listen to the babbling brook with our morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evenings. The hot tub was wonderful! The bed was comfy and the master bath was huge. We explored the area but every day we couldn't to get back to our cozy Log Heaven in the woods! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!!

Peaceful!

The cabin was amazing! It was exactly what we were looking for which was secluded, quiet, comfortable and relaxing! The deck which almost circled the entire house was a great way to unwind with a fire listening to the creek. It is a short drive into Boone and Banner Elk which we enjoyed. Great cabin

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was better than the pictures. We really enjoyed the porch and outdoor fireplace. Location was perfect and close to lots of fun things to do while on vacation on the mountains. The rental company was very responsive and friendly. Will definitely come back in the future.

Perfect

Fantastic property! We enjoyed the layout of the cabin and all of the amenities. Everything functioned as it should which is a rarity these days. This place was super clean and the personal touches for the holidays made this a place we will certainly return to. We were lucky to get non stop snow since are arrival which made for perfect ski conditions. I was a little worried about getting up the driveway but our AWD Tesla made it up without snow chains in case anyone was wondering. Like I said earlier, FANTASTIC cabin!!

High quality comfort. Luxurious, rustic, private cabin. They thought of everything.

We were very pleased that the cabin was even better than it looked online. Plenty of room, soft & clean sheets & towels. Well stocked kitchen. Instructions for everything were clear. Great communication with host/Blue Mountain. Hope to come back to Log Heaven.
