Romantic Ocean View Cottage with Starry Night Sky Gazing!

This is simply a lovely cottage situated on my property 1000 feet above the Pacific Ocean on clear days you can see forever,the house itself sports a beautiful bedroom with top of the line mattress and bedding, the living room offers a leather couch that folds out to full size comfy bed. Also a single comfy futon. I provide Wifi and dish satellite TV with surround sound. If it is peace and quiet you are looking for, then I am 100% sure you will find this the perfect place,
For all those uncertain about the fall on the coast! October is always the perfect weather! Clear,sunny and usually warm during the days. It’s like the quiet before the storm. Just beautiful. Did I mention the sunsets?
Now it’s winter! And the winter storms are sometimes spectacular up here, strong winds and ominous skies.
If that attracts you, then come on up to the top of the mountain. You gonna love it.

Perfect anniversary get away

From first booking the trip to driving home our trip was perfect. Nicky and Peter were great hosts. They made sure we found the house and showed us around the property even though we arrived late. The house was well stocked and very clean. We were by a small elk herd one morning just outside the back deck. The location was great for exploring the Rogue River and the Redwoods. We highly recommend staying at Nicky and Peter’s place. What a beautiful place to celebrate our anniversary!

This property is absolutely unique. One of the best accommodation I stayed at. Peaceful, beautiful ground, view of the bay. The rental is an entire house, very well appointed, spacious, and ultra clean. Very comfortable queen bed. The rental faces the bay and the view between the trees is stunning. The owners have a separate house on the same lot. Lots of attention to details: power cords, candle outside, recommendations, etc. Owners are very welcoming and thorough. The grounds are stunning with fruit trees, magnolias, flowers. Really loved it - I wish I could have stayed much longer. Next time!

This place is spectacular. The views from there are incredible. We were greeted upon arrival, and given a quick tour of the property. The owners are very nice and helpful. The place was spotless. We even woke up to elk on our last morning.

Overall a very good experience. Excellent views. Nicki was helpful checking in then left us alone which is nice. As long as you do not want to be walking distance to the beach, would highly recommend.

Pet friendly, Beautiful view and decor, Perfect in every way!

Location is fantastic. Close to town, beaches and trails. Ocean views from up on the hillside are stunning. Hosts Peter and Nicky live down the hill and very kind, caring, fun and attentive while also respecting privacy. *Pet friendly* which was key for us. The unit is very clean, warm and beautifully decorated. Huge, decoratively-tiled shower made us never want to get out of our piping hot showers each day! The bed and furniture inside and outside on the balcony are all very comfortable. There is a new, nice grill that we used to cook some fish that Peter generously shared with us! We hope we have another opportunity to experience the quiet forest solitude of this little slice of heaven again someday!

Lofty Castle in the Sky

I was privileged to spend 4 glorious nights with rich colorful sunsets in this beautiful and comfortable home. It has close proximity to the Sam Boardman Corridor which is worthy of every viewpoint stop that reveal views of the wild rugged Oregon coastline and beaches. It was also close to Jedediah Redwoods for commune with ancient giants and also to explore Tolowa Dunes. I slept soundly and hope to stay again in this mighty fortress. The deck is the place to be sipping caffeine for peaceful mornings with the hummingbirds and deer. The sunset demands an audience. It’s also the place to relax and enjoy watching the ocean waves. I hope to visit again to enjoy the hospitality and views. Thank you!

Very clean, very quiet, very great deck w views of hillside, trees, ocean!

We had a wonderful three-night stay in the private, comfortable, well-furnished cottage just up the hill from Peter and Nicky's home. The bed was plush, perfect for those who like to sink into their dreams, and at the foot of the bed is a big new sliding glass door facing southwest so we started each morning by pulling back the heavy drapes and enjoying the private pastoral view with ocean backdrop! Breakfast and evening cocktails on the deck, with they ocean beyond, and hummingbirds swooping in and out to visit the feeder. Never turned on the TV, it was so peaceful! Huge fridge, gas range. Peter and Nicky even supplied hummingbird food and an apple-picking pole so we could enjoy crisp fruit right off the tree! No problems with the drive up and down the hill; the pavement is in good shape and the rare oncoming motorist we met were polite and accommodating. Very nice stay.

Breath-taking!

This property has a gorgeous setting perched high above the Pacific where we listened to the sounds of the wind through the trees, the ocean and birds. Our hosts were delightful and we will be going back as often as we can. Our accomadations were very comfortable and tasteful with excellent internet. although the location lulled us away from our devices during our stay! We do not remember when we rested so well!

It's a charming cottage with a fabulous view of the Pacific. It's great for a quiet place to read and relax. It's very clean. Comfortable bed. You have to drive in to town but the kitchen is fine for cooking meals. Highly recommend. Nicky and Peter are delightful hosts.
