There's heaps to do in Mariahoeve, but venture farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Rent a set of wheels and you can roam around the surrounding area at your own speed. Add these awesome places to your to-do list:

• You'll discover Grote Markt and loads of other interesting sights in Groningen. From Mariahoeve, it's about 120 miles away.
• Roughly 100 miles away, Maastricht is also a favorite with wanderers. Make sure you take in St. Servaas Church while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love this vibrant city.

Please also consider that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well.
