Punta Cana Village is full of surprises, but don't restrict yourself to one place. Rent some wheels and hit the open road to see what's in the wider region. Here are a few ideas:

• Make tracks to Santo Domingo for a fantastic sightseeing experience. Approximately 100 miles from Punta Cana Village, it's home to loads of amazing attractions, including Boca Chica Beach.
• Your next stop? It has to be La Romana, which is around 40 miles away. Casa de Campo Marina is one local hot spot you shouldn't miss.
