Car Rental Solo City Centre

Once you've checked out all of the great sights in Solo City Centre, there's loads more to see in the region. Collect the keys to a rental car, toss your bags in the trunk and get out on the open road. We've come up with some road trips you're sure to enjoy:

• You'll discover Malioboro Street and loads of other amazing sights in Yogyakarta. From Solo City Centre, it's roughly 35 miles away.
• Your next pit stop? Make it Semarang, which is around 45 miles away. Simpang Lima Park is one local draw card you won't want to miss.
• Get into the outdoors and breathe in some fresh air at Mount Bromo. You'll find it approximately 150 miles from Solo City Centre.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Indonesia, then it's likely you'll need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some additional requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be at least 25 in many countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before you drive off the lot. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or go off-roading with a rental car.
