Pleasant week long stay

Great Carolina Beach property

We loved the condo. It was well furnished and comfortable. Great views and easy access to the beach and pool. Kitchen was well stocked. The owner was quick to respond to questions. We would definitely recommend Top of the Watch.

Would give 10 stars if we could! Location was fantastic, condo was great and Paul couldn’t have been more responsive to answer questions. Will def stay here again! The view from the 10th floor is like no other!!

Great vacation

Stayed over Memorial weekend/week. The view from balcony is amazing. Nice, clean condo with everything you would need. Great location and easy access to the beach. There ware extra beach chair and an umbrella to use on the balcony. Paddle boards for kids. Easy communication with the owner. Would stay there again.

First decent post pandemic vacation

I normally stay in Myrtle Beach because it is cheaper but my last stay was a nightmare. I booked this one because of a need for a change in city. I liked this property much better. The owners and visitors, clientele, were more social. The basic amenities were better. The general area is nicer.

Beach week

We had a good week of weather and the view from the 10th floor was awesome. The patio is a good size to enjoy sitting out. The unit was a good size with bedrooms and Internet and furnishings. The kitchen and bathrooms could use a bit of updating but very usable. I would definitely recommend.

Beach dream

Very nice older property right on the beach. The condo was on the 10th floor in an elevator building provided privacy, no noise, nicely decorated, and clean. Contact with the owner regarding a very minor issue was immediately resolved even though not needed. Beautiful sunrise view, would return in a blink!

Elican Warch

10th floor unobstructed view of ocean on 3+mile-long beach. Condo was small and fairly well-furnished, though lighting made it hard to read in some locations. Observed hundreds of pelicans every day. Biggest problem was cold weather combined with strong winds which kept us inside other than for daily walk; area very walkable. Overall: very good stay.

Getaway with friends

The beautiful view was just one of the wonderful things that added to our vacation. The condo was a great fit for our getaway. Many amenities were offered but nothing could beat the views or the quick access to the beach. Our neighbors were very friendly and helpful. The pool was closed one of the days of our stay and the hot tub temperature was on the cooler side and we would have loved to have some extra towels. But we were so happy with our stay overall that those were just small things. We had a wonderful time and a wonderful stay.

Excellent ocean front condo

Condo was spotless and well-equipped. Roomy living room and kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well lit. Bed were comfortable with lovely sheets & coverlets. All TVs were working and of good size. Perfect for up to 4 adults. Stayed the week with my parents who are 78 & 80. Elevators were speedy and beach & pool were easily accessible. Beach was incredibly clean. Host was very welcoming and had great communication. Close enough to bars & restaurants without all of the traffic from the boardwalk Highly recommend this host and his beautiful condo. Easiest check in & out that I have experienced in over 40 years of hitting the beach!

Excellent vacation!

I absolutely loved our time here. This is the second time I’ve been to Carolina Beach and it was awesome. The property was great. The condo itself had everything you could possibly need. Loved not having to drag my Keurig from home! The only thing I didn’t like was having the magnetic key cards to access the pool and beach walkway. For a family with small children this wouldn’t be a problem but our family is two adults and two teens and we didn’t always go to the beach together. Overall I say 5 stars and will definitely return and spread the word.

Awesome Condo & Great Location

We loved our stay at "Top of the Watch". The location was great, super easy to get to, lots of things nearby to do and parking was very convenient too. Paul was a great host, super easy to contact and quick with anything we needed. The beach front balcony was where we spent a lot of our time in the evenings, the views are magnificent. We even got to see dolphins several times throughout the week. Great surf fishing right out in front of the condo along with many other great spots very close by (for those who like to fish). Grocery stores close by too and Wilmington has lots of other shopping too, which was just minutes down the road. All in all, one of our favorite beach vacations! We only wish we could have stayed for two weeks!

PROS Great Location! Beautiful View! Bed comfortable. Host was fantastic with answering promptly. Very easy access and parking. Umbrella and chair rental if needed-very easy. CONS couch furniture needs to be upgraded. If back or knee issues not comfortable. Dishwasher does not work properly or hot water is not hot enough for cleaning. Although, showers were good. Coffee cups in the cupboard were not clean. Had to scrub before use.
