"We had a great getaway in Harrison. The house had everything we needed and is well stocked for cooking. Instructions for guest use were very helpful. The shower always had hot water. We enjoyed fires each night. We chose to drive to the state park for the beach and it was an easy, quick drive. Hosts were available and checked in when we had a question. We could adventure to Clare and Houghton Lake easily. The neighborhood was peaceful and we hope we can return."

"We happened upon this little town on our way to St. Ignace. We were so surprised to find this gem of a hotel. It was so nice, clean and the people were so friendly. We arrived late, the front desk helped us find a restaurant that was still open and made sure we had everything we needed. "

"This was a really nice unit. Not on the water, but within a few minutes drive time to Houghton Lake, and 20 minutes to Higgins Lake. Lots of beautiful trails, boat launches, and public parks. Located on a quiet street, close to stores and restaurants. Would stay here again. The host was more than accommodating, and made sure every need was met. The house is well equipped, even down to a crate for your dog. The washing machine and dryer were an added bonus!"

"Clean, fully stocked rustic cabin with an updated bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed and coffee pot brewed quick. The patio was great with a nice firepit. We enjoyed fishing and swimming off the dock and paddle boat. We caught bluegill, largemouth bass, perch, and catfish. Lots of red-headed woodpeckers, chickadees, and tufted titmouse birds for viewing. Check in and checkout were a breeze. Great hosts who were easy to communicate with. We will be back!"

"Nice middle of the road hotel. Place and room was clean. Was there for an overnight stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. They did have coffee made in the morning.I suggest you go across the street for a cup. It was very bad. They could use some type of cold breakfast item options, that would be nice. Had a noisy night there. No fault of the hotel. Just people being rude with noise and think they are the only ones there. "

"Was not a where of stones right by the stairs to get into water. Would be nice to know that in advance to bring water shoes. Very sea weedy by the shore line also. Otherwise was nice."

"This property was cozy and quaint and perfect for our needs to visit with family. It was perfectly pet friendly for our dog. The only setback was that the jacuzzi filter was not clean and some work had to go into cleaning it in order to use the jacuzzi. All in all we had a wonderful time at this quaint and cozy cottage."

"Check in was easy. Nice kitchen. Very clean space. Bathroom was very clean. It is right near a public park/beach area. We didn't check out the park, but being close to it wasn't bad. No extra noise, etc. We caught fish off the dock. We had a good time. "

"This house was great for our girls weekend! A lot of bunk beds, but we did our best to make it work. Some of our group are older women and it was not safe for them to adventure to a top metal bunk bed, but we were aware of that when we booked. Not a negative, just something to consider. The lake is very "mushy" and not really swim worthy, but a nice view! The indoor pool is AMAZING! The host is wonderful, very responsive and understanding. Tip: Ask for the FULL list of house rules prior to booking to ensure all the rules fit your group needs. Would stay again, but unfortunately the price has almost doubled since we booked last year. Would be perfect for families with kids!!! "

"We absolutely love this place. It is a hidden gem and we wish we had known about it decades earlier. We could not get over how beautiful this property is, how millions of stars light up the sky at night, how the Tittabawassee River looks like a mirror. The rooms are comfortable, beautifully Designed and very, very clean. The staff was wonderful and the food in the restaurant was terrific. This is a perfect place for a family vacation, with lots of fun things to do outdoors. It also would be a great place to go to just get away from it all. I highly recommend this place and I cannot wait to come back."
