We were kind of leary about staying at Best Western. We had previously stayed at a Motel 6 with a very unpleasant experience. Even though the Best Western is right off the main road, it was quiet. The staff were very pleasant especially the staff at breakfast. Was presently surpised with actual eggs and not powdered eggs. We really liked the river at the back of the Hotel. Access to the river thru the back door.

Check in was not smooth, I think the clerk was new. Noisy room heater, had to use my white noise app to drown it out. But, lovely room and furnishings. Comfortable and convenient location.

When we checked in our first set of keys did not work. This is understandable, but frustrating when it was 10° outside and this is a motel so your room door is exposed to the elements. Once we got inside, we realized they don’t keep the heat on, The room was ice cold. I turned to go move our vehicle and noticed I could see snow coming through under the door. I decided to go to the front desk to complain, and couldn’t get out of our room because the door latch was malfunctioning. This may be a nice place to stay in the summer because of its location, but for 200 a night, things like this are completely unacceptable.Try the Fleetwood

The room was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The free breakfast was excellent, with both hot and cold choices available. Daily room freshening was disappointing. They did not even make up the beds. Towels were thin. The hot tub was broken the two days we were there.
