Top Cuevas Bajas Hotel Reviews

Silken Antequera Hills

10/10 Excellent

"Great hotel which was clean and bright. The rooms were a little dated compared to the common area and the selection on the food buffet wasn't great but apart from that we had a really nice stay."

Hacienda Fresneda María by Real Spain Hotels Adults Recommended

10/10 Excellent

"We originally planned to spend our first night in Ronda, but with the Feria in full swing, Saturday night was likely to be lively. With a 6am flight from the UK we decided that relaxation was the priority — and Hacienda Fresneda María delivered exactly that. Set amongst beautiful olive groves with wonderful countryside views, the Hacienda is a wonderfully peaceful retreat. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming, even arranging an early check-in at 1pm so we could make the most of our short stay. Our room was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the olive grove. It was also wonderfully quiet — exactly what we needed before an early start the next morning. Food was another highlight. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch & dinner during our stay, all featuring excellent-quality, locally sourced produce. Everything was beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. The outdoor area, with its small swimming pool, provided the perfect place to relax & unwind in the sunshine. It really is a setting where you can slow down and simply enjoy the surroundings. Although we stayed for just one night en route to Córdoba, we were left wishing we had booked longer. Hacienda Fresneda María would make an excellent base for exploring the beautiful Pueblos Blancos of Andalusia, as well as the surrounding area. A peaceful, charming and highly recommended alternative to staying in busy Ronda."

Fuente Las Piedras

10/10 Excellent

"Here’s a polished review you could submit: We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Fuentes Las Piedras during our visit to Cabra. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with spacious rooms and excellent air conditioning—something we really appreciated during the warm weather in Córdoba. The staff was welcoming, professional, and always willing to help with any questions we had. Parking was convenient and made coming and going very easy. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Cabra and the surrounding region while still offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We would gladly stay here again and recommend Hotel Fuentes Las Piedras to anyone visiting the Córdoba province."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Cuevas Bajas?

The best area to stay in Cuevas Bajas is within the village center itself, particularly around the Plaza de la Constitución and along the main thoroughfare, Calle Real.

This central part of Cuevas Bajas offers a traditional Andalusian village experience, with whitewashed buildings, narrow streets, and local businesses. It's the hub of daily life, where you'll find the local church, small shops, and eateries. Staying here provides easy access to the village's amenities and allows for a relaxed pace.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find the village center ideal. It provides a quiet setting for enjoying local life, taking leisurely strolls, and experiencing authentic Spanish culture away from larger tourist crowds.

When is the best time to go to Cuevas Bajas?

The best time to visit Cuevas Bajas is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months, when the weather is most pleasant for exploring.

During these seasons, the temperatures are mild and comfortable, typically ranging from 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 27°C). This makes it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking through the olive groves, visiting local farms, or simply enjoying the rural landscape without the intense heat of summer. Couples and those seeking a tranquil escape will appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to experience local culture at a relaxed pace.

The summer months (July and August) can be quite hot, with temperatures often exceeding 90°F (32°C). While the evenings offer some relief, daytime exploration might be less comfortable. However, if you enjoy warm weather and plan to spend time by a pool or exploring the nearby natural swimming areas, summer can still be a good option.

Winter (November to March) in Cuevas Bajas is generally mild, but it can be cooler and wetter, with temperatures ranging from 45°F to 60°F (7°C to 15°C). This is the quietest time of year, offering a very authentic experience for those who don't mind cooler temperatures and potentially some rain. It's an excellent choice for travelers looking for a serene retreat and the chance to witness the olive harvest.
