“Very old, the room is smelly, and it is not cheap. It is an experience I have never had before.”

“Bathroom smelled like mold. When you pull open the shower curtain there was mold across the bottom and mold on the ceiling. The staff was great and friendly. Breakfast was good and kid approved. They changed it up every couple of days. The hotel design and feel is old, but to be expected for old buildings and was not a problem. The location and view was great.”

“The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were clean. They had a coffee maker but not a Keurig. Just for those who do keurigs instead of ground coffee. There's no conditioner for your hair, so bring your own. Only reason I didn't do five stars is because of the maid. She banged on our door really really loud at 9:00 in the morning. Then proceeded to talk very loudly outside the rooms. Otherwise, It was a good stay and would absolutely stay there again.”

“Construction was extremely loud and unpleasant. Starting at 8am each morning, my view was blocked by workers on the roof and I could overhear everything from loads of heavy materials being dropped on the roof to someone’s speaker phone calls. The location is nice but do not book until their million dollar “upgrades” are finished.”

“The stay was amazing! Except for all the buffalo staying upstairs above me. Not sure what continously spooked them into constant stampedes... Half the night...."boom boom boom boom boom...." That was basically my only problem, overnight tho, only ONE person working so all that can be done is to call the buffalo to tell them to stop the stampedes but it wouldn't stop until 'I' did something myself. Again, other than the buffalo, the place and views are Amazing!!”

“It is very good hotel. The service people are nice and very patient. The room is close to beach. If the room could be bigger and brighter, it will be better. ”

“They have a unique business model with no management on the property. they were available by phone and text, but not immediately. This left several of us left out in the rain trying to get in our rooms. The communal kitchen was not really somewhere you could cook. There was a microwave and toaster oven, but no dishes. The rooms were small, but modern and efficient. Weirdly there were only a few guests although when I tried to book it showed it almost booked up. The location is great right near……

“First off, the staff was very friendly. My room was clean and well decorated. Overall, a great room.”

“We loved our stay at Bowline. We parked the car and didn't have to use it the entire trip because we could walk to everything we wanted to see. We loved seeing the trolley and the sea lions on a daily basis. The saunas on the river are wonderful. The bed was so comfortable. The staff was so friendly. Getting a nightcap with that view at the beautiful bar was perfect. We loved everything!”

“We stayed in the Aston Suites. I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. However, my husband who uses a cane would have had a challenge with getting to the front desk in the Norblad Hotel. I took care of checking in and the Astor Suites had an elevator which made it easy for my husband.”
