“Air conditioning was not working. But luckily it cooled down enough at night to make it bearable. The room and the balcony were great as was the staff. ”

“The front desk staff were fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about them. The bar/in hotel restaurant however might have been the worst service I’ve ever had. It took over 20 minutes to get a simple drink, and another 40 minutes to get our food, which was wrong/not what we ordered. The server was very polite (I don’t recall her name), but the wait times and lack of attention to detail was abysmal. The hotel and stay were wonderful, but I would never eat or get a drink there if I come back”

“Very small room and no drink making facilities or fridge, only option onsite was to purchase drinks. I know that it may not have fitted the aesthetics and it is a beautiful hotel and kept clean but some basic room amenities would have been nice when you're there longer than 1 night. I only interacted with 2 staff members when checking in and out but they were helpful and friendly. Downstairs was busy in the bar area which was no problem in terms of noise but unfortunately some people clearly……

“A very unique hotel! Accommodations were unlike any other that we have experienced. Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast served at the lovely bar was very good. The decor and furnishings are appropriate to the club’s history. We would recommend The Detroit Club to anyone who appreciates an unusual night’s sleep. ”

“A lot of construction made the hotel a little difficult to find and get to but once arrived I enjoyed my stay”

“Property was clean, spacious and close to all amenities in the downtown area. There were a few appliances that needed to be replaced, the iron did not work and the tea kettle lid didn't close property. Minor inconveniences, but overall a great stay.”
