“The rooms are above a bar. The staff were so friendly and helpful and gave us plenty of recommendations for where to go. Check-in was straight forward. You do this at the bar. There is a car park at the rear of the property. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent. Within walking distance of all food places and bars. Breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend eating breakfast here. A selection of juices, tea, continental and delicious cooked breakfast. Homemade……

“We (2 couples) stayed at Emlagh House for 3 nights. It was our favourite accommodation in a 3 week trip around Ireland. The location is perfect, a 5 minute walk to town. The rooms were very spacious with lovely views, and had air conditioning - rare for Ireland but as Australians a must when the weather is warmer and humid. Beds were king size and super comfortable. Breakfast was delightful and the common areas, especially the conservatory, were a great spot for a pre or post dinner drink and……

“Book the stay, called to arrange a taxi to the hotel. Told the lady we were arrive late because of flight cancellation and she said to call 3 taxi services the day of travel. No taxis are working at 8:30 pm on the coast. So there was no way to make it to the hotel and we couldn’t get a refund. Disappointing and frustrating. The lady should have informed us of the area and how taxi’s don’t run late, I could have cancelled and gotten my money back earlier. Paid for a stay I could never arrive at.”

“Absolutely gorgeous place!! They have stocked the space with everything you could ever need plus luxuries like towel warmers and a really comfortable bed. Can tell a lot of thought has gone into everything. The area is absolutely beautiful, not the main centre but we easily got taxis there and back the entire stay and it feels like a real slice of heaven sat looking out at the beautiful views. We would book here again in a heartbeat!”

“Aidan was an amazing friendly caring host, I’ve never actually had any host as welcoming as he was even though they have all been fantastic, he went above and beyond. The directions were fantastic, even advising on where to park, what to see locally, he even offered to get us milk for the morning and showed us the studio. We stayed one night and was lovely, very comfortable with a Murphy’s style big double bed plus a sofa that converted to a double bed, and a chair that converted to a bed as……
