“Be aware that check-In time is listed at 3 p.m. but rooms may not be ready until after 4 p.m. We arrived with a tight window to get ready for a wedding that began at 4:30 p.m., but we could not get into our room until 3:30 p.m. Staff stated that the rooms were all booked the night before and they would not have them ready until up to 4 p.m. Multiple people were waiting to check in at 3 p.m. but could not get into their rooms. In regards of the motel, the condition is to be expected for an older……

“The owner\hostess was rude and obsequious. She has a footwear issue…..and offered used slippers as an alternative. The physical plant was fine. This is not a hotel….it is her and her yapping dogs home. I don’t pay $300 for a lecture.”

“We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean, comfortable, and felt very welcoming. Cheryl was a great host and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was great . Everything was fresh, with a real farm-to-table feel. We would definitely stay here again.”

“A good location with modern rooms and a friendly staff”

“The room was nice in itself, however the air conditioning unit was super loud... making a non stop continuous clunk clunk noise. I went to the front desk to let them know about the issue, and the owner and a handyman came by in half an hour but they only took off the cover and kicked it a couple of times and said they couldn't make it quieter and left. The motel was also fully booked so we were not offered another room. By bedtime the noise got even louder and so unbearable that we had to turn……

“The lakes was a beautiful place to stay. The rooms were clean and very large. They have carpet which I don’t love but were very clean and comfortable.it would be nice to have the restaurant open for breakfast as there really isn’t anywhere nearby that serves breakfast. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and the food was very good! They didn’t have a tee time available which was disappointing but overall it was very good value and I would certainly recommend it.”

“Clean room, nice location (right near Louisbourgh fortress), quiet, restaurants on site, tasteful beach-inspired decor, spacious room, friendly &helpful staff. Very firm bed. Very small bathroom mirror - hard for shorter people to apply makeup. Our room included dishes, cutlery, microwave, kettle, coffeemaker, bar fridge.”
