"I was very excited to stay at this hotel. The pictures and reviews I read online make it seem wonderful. However, my stay was below average.
On first glance, the room appeared clean. But when inspected closer, it was actually a complete mess. It reminded me of the rushed type of “clean” you do as a teenager where you move things around to look organized but nothing is actually wiped down or cleaned with soap, etc. It smelled very funky which made me feel like the room was extra dirty and I almost asked to changed rooms because of this. There was a literal clump of long black human hair on the shower wall, and while I love that they supply pots/pans for using the hotel room kitchenette, everything in there was filthy. I felt it necessary to check for bed bugs just because of how dirty I felt the room was. There were none.
They claim to have “complimentary” laundry, however, the detergent and dryer sheets were $2 each for single use items AND you can only pay in quarters. I don’t believe many people still carry around coins. The front desk staff was very nice and was able to exchange dollar bills for quarters for me. In fact, the hotel staff was the only redeemable experience for my stay and they are the sole reason why my review isn’t much lower.
They also charged me the pet fee for my registered ESA animal. This isn’t totally abnormal, just annoying. Most hotels I’ve stayed in have waived the fee if I can provide documentation.
I will not stay here again. "
