"We stayed at this hotel because of its kitschy throwback appeal. The staff was very upfront about limitations, given the property's historic status and construction. They also had a reasonable pet fee.
The linens and towels were clean, and the shower was awesome. We experienced some inconveniences - super small room with not a lot of space to move around, no heat/AC because it was between seasons, old toilet with hard-to-flush handle.
Overall, the appeal is the fun name and historic angle. If you like your modern amenities, stay somewhere else."
