“We stayed at the Kings Head last weekend and had a lovely time. The pub itself is gorgeous, decorated beautifully, it is cosy and inviting and located in a lovely spot by the stream.Although the actual car park itself was small this was no problem as we parked literally a couple of minutes away on the lane, perfect as it allowed the opportunity to see a tiny red squirrel busy in a nearby tree. “Bonito hotel”

“Great location, just a short walk into town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean and had a lovely ensuite. Only downside was a loose toilet seat and extremely small pillows. Nevertheless we would use this hotel again. ”

“Fabulous, beautifully decorated bedroom with nice toiletries and refreshments tray. Breakfast was amazing, local ingredients (quality), tasty fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice and a surprise Easter egg on Easter Sunday. They think of lovely touches like complimentary cake in the afternoon. Have stayed in lots of places in Keswick but this place is the best. Definitely returning next year. Also staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel special ”

“We stayed at Armathwaite Hall for one night and it was superb. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and little touches made our stay very memorable such as a glass of prosecco on arrival and a card and some chocolates in my room for my birthday. We stayed in a Club room which was very spacious. We ate in the dining room which was pricey but the food was exquisite so worth the money. “We got to this property by chance. What a fun surprise. It is an old but very well kept inn. It has many beautiful hikes around. It is in the middle of nowhere. And that makes it even more fantastic. ”

The rooms and facilities seem outdated and would really benefit from a proper upgrade.
