Excellent accommodation, perfect for exploring the lakes. Just off the A66 with plenty of parking. I stayed 3 nights in the single room. It was warm, cosy and comfortable with a nice en-suite bathroom. Great food with vegetarian and vegan option. Very reasonably priced and friendly and helpful hosts, I would highly recommend.
Lovely stay again at Troutbeck. All staff were super welcoming. Food was delicious . Pet friendly.

Always a good place to stay when visiting the Lake District, Troutbeck hotel is a perfect location for north lakes. Excellent service, room, breakfast and evening meals.
This was a return stay for us. Love the location, rooms are lovely and comfortable and really reasonably priced. We have and evening meal which was superb, we had the steak and ale pie and haddock and chips, excellent value. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend.

A perfect place for a quick stop to break up my journey. My single room was cosy and well equipped and the dinner in front of the fire was just what I wanted. Also staff were very friendly.
Lovely warm welcome when we arrived, great beer!. The room was very cosy, bed was lovely and comfortable and lovely facilities. Great selection of breakfast options. Excellent friendly service. Will definitely return and highly recommend.
I really enjoyed my stay here. I just wish I'd discovered this gem a little sooner.
The hosts were very friendly, made me feel welcome and the room was clean, spacious, well-equipped and comfortable.
The evenng food menu was exactly what I wanted after a day on the hill. Proper, hearty food, generous servings and a good choice.
A great base that I'd highly recommend for the Eastern Fells, or even some of the Northern and Central Fells.
Hopefully, I'll get myself here again soon.
Wonderful friendly hosts, nothing too much trouble. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Would recommend.

Pleasant stay here for a few nights. Inn owner was lovely and the location was ideal for walks and visiting nearby towns. However, the mattress in the comfort room was very uncomfortable and unfortunately did disturb our sleep. The tv was also located in an awkward position in the room so we ended up dragging furniture to get it more central. On the other hand, the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was ok but not much variation.
Friendly owners and staff, comfortable accommodation, excellent food and drink, and a great base from which to explore the northern part of the Lake District.
Very clean & cosy single room with everything I may need for my stay. Tea/coffee etc.
The staff were amazing! Both the lady who served me for a wonderfully cooked evening meal on the first night of my stay …. To the lady who served my breakfast on both mornings!
Kind consideration given to ensuring my stay was comfortable, happy & willing to go that extra mile if necessary. Huge thanks to all x
Great location for exploring the lakes. Staff are chatty and friendly which made me feel at ease as a solo traveller. Excellent meal in the evening and breakfast. Will stay again.
Our twin room was tastefully furnished blending old and modern. It was comfortable but the bathroom could have been cleaner (cobwebs). The food served in the restaurant was good. The cooked breakfast was very good but the accompanying cereal and toast was a mean portion. Overall our stay was very pleasant as was the owner and staff. Our stay was value for money.
