"Good price, good location. Towels needs to be upgraded, really thin and worn out and rough. Didn't like that there's a $175 hold on debit card because I wasn't told about that until I checked in and not everyone traveling through has that much extra to play with. I understand it because some folks destroy things but I think that $175 is too much."

"I had never even heard of Bird-in-Hand, let alone the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn, when first planning our trip to the Lancaster County area, my first return to the region in several decades. However, I saw great reviews of the inn, and it was well situated amongst the places that we wanted to visit (and particularly the places we wanted to eat), and it had an indoor pool and hot tub, so we took the chance. It turned out to be a great decision. Our experience at the inn was pretty much reflective of our experience in the area itself. There was a "nice" and "comfortable" feel to the inn, the room, the pool, the property, etc. The people were all extremely nice and accommodating, and every other person staying there that I observed as I walked the property, did some work in the lobby, swam in the pool, and such all seemed to be having a wonderful time. The check-in process was fast and easy, and the front desk staff was very friendly. The lot had plenty of space for parking. There was a cool little mini golf place, and there was a petting zoo with goats, chickens, and llamas that my son loved. We didn't try the outdoor pool, but the indoor pools and the hot tub hit the spot at the end of the day. The farmer's market was walkable, as was the bakery & cafe. Dienner's and Miller's were five minutes' drive away, and Shady Maple was 20 minutes. Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery about 20 minutes as well. If you're visiting the region, this inn is a great option that I'd highly recommend!"
