"There are no ocean view rooms at this hotel. While the rooms are clean the building is old and in need of repairs and updates. The rooms have an old, musty smell and the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors. Also the hotel room doors all slam shut. All you hear is slamming doors, day and night. It’s a very loud environment not to mention the train that goes by every hour day and night. Breakfast was good and the staff was kind. Pictures of the hotel are not accurate. This hotel is old, the pool area is small and old looking. "

"First of all, the young lady at check in is absolutely amazing. Claudia and housekeeping fantastic as well. Rooms are always clean, comfortable easily accessible. Fantastic staff. we ALWAYS stay here at least twice a year. This stays we extended our stay from Sat-Mon all the way through Thursday! We love it..."

"I have stayed all over Southern California and this location and vibe can’t be beat! Very few kids stay here it is more for adults but my 18 year old daughter and I had the perfect time. The staff is great and very accommodating. For sure take a chance on this one . Tucked between Carlsbad and Encinitas. "
