The hotel is currently under renovation, but the rooms are brand new. Everything was very comfortable, with all-new furnishings, A/C, bedding, and bathrooms. It’s also close to the beach. It’s a great deal when the weather is nice and you can spend the whole day at the beach!

The room itself was very nice and had recently been renovated. The bed was comfy and so were the pillows. The building is being renovated, so the lobby was not available, and there was construction equipment around the parking lot. The location is great being less than a mile from the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

For a basic hotel it was just what we needed. It was close to the beach. Close to the train station. It had just been remodeled so it was super clean and everything was new. The pool was under construction too, which was a bit of a bummer. Overall, for a cheap hotel it was perfect.

The rooms are renovated and very clean, but there is still construction going on in the lobby and many other areas of the hotel, so it doesn't look nice outside rooms. Staff are cordial and professional, even though they don't have a reception area. Location is excellent.

The rooms have already been redone and are surprisingly nice. A real value at this price point. The grounds of the hotel are still under construction, so the outside looks a bit messy. Great location, helpful staff. Great price at $118 per night in July.

The property is on its way to a refresh. It's currently in the midst of a remodel, and I anticipate the remodel will make a big difference. Our room (redone) was clean and fresh. The beds are pretty soft (for our taste). The bathroom is decent, but the shower doesn't seem terribly well-sealed as there was a fair amount of water outside if the shower stall after showering. The shower itself is good - great water pressure. The location is convenient and the price was right for a property in the midst of renovations (work started at 8a so no sleeping in even if you wanted to!)

During my stay the outside of the property was under construction. The rooms inside were updated, clean, and had your basic necessities (tv, clock, towels). The breakfast served was muffins, granola bars, coffee and tea to go (again during construction). One thing to be aware of is if you have to pay the cost of the hotel upon arrival DO NOT allow them to charge you the incidental charge together.

It's under construction right now. The room was ok but I woke up to the construction work being done in the room next door. The breakfast is just granola bars and instant oatmeal with coffee. The location is amazing and walking distance to the beach and great restaurants and shops.

Ideal location near the beach and near downtown. Great prices. Helpful staff. It was not a modern building full of features, but we were there to enjoy Encinitas, and this hotel was a great base for exploration. There is superb food down the road, so the hotel offered just coffee and light items like oatmeal.

This is a great location, being within walking distance of downtown and the beach. The area is so nice you need not walk, with free parking anyway, but you could. This property is undergoing extensive renovation. However, the room was simple but clean and new. It was quiet at night, and the shower was great. The bed was comfortable too. We did not go down for the continental breakfast, which is currently a makeshift setup of five in a room while the lobby is renovated. The price was excellent for a simple, clean, nice room with a great location. Just don't be disappointed; it is not fancy at this time.
