“New Bern is a hidden gem! Incredible history, architecture, gardens, shopping, dining, etc. Try Persimmon's restaurant on the water. The brand new staff at Tryon Riverfront weren't helpful at problem solving room issues. Food fantastic (especially gluten free sweet potato pancakes) but expect to wait awhile.”

“We were in town for an event and only had a one night stay. Everything about the Inn was a delight. We were made to feel at home by the staff from the first moment as Tracy gave us a tour of the amenities and showed us to our room. The homemade ginger cookies in the break area were yummy. Breakfast was delicious, beautifully presented and the fresh biscotti were a delight. Our room was comfortable and the little touches like a fresh bottle of water were notable. The staff is super friendly, they provide a welcome bag for you and for your fur baby. “I reserved a room that was supposed to have a couch as well. While the room was acceptable looking, it was small and only had a chair wedged between the wall and the queen sized bed and no couch. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and with my bad back I could hardly walk the next day, and when I spoke with the staff, I learned there were no other rooms for me to move.
