A perfect, quiet baseball rental in the woods near Cooperstown, NY

We are now accepting reservations for the 2024 Cooperstown area baseball camps and other tourists!

Enjoy the exclusive use of the ground level of our home, which includes two bedrooms, one bathroom and a living room. When you rent with us, you will be the only guests in this rental. Each bedroom has an air conditioning unit. Although there is not a full kitchen, there is a new kitchen sink with counter top, a compact refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, toaster oven, hot water pot, Keurig and auto drip coffee maker. There are dishes (large and small plates, bowls, mugs, glasses and wineglasses) and flatware. Also provided is a gas grill.

There is cell service, free high speed Internet WiFi and a flat screen TV connected to the Dish network.

The rental includes a large front porch for relaxing, and the property includes many flower beds. Our 65 acres includes trimmed and marked walking trails, a pond, two streams and is bordered by 1,250 acres of New York State forest. Previous renters enjoy relaxing at the rental and/or walking through the trails in the woods that are right outside. We are conveniently located for quick access to the Village of Cooperstown, Cooperstown Dreams Park and a direct drive to Cooperstown All Star Village. This property is great for unwinding as we are tucked in the woods where it's peaceful and relaxing, yet only a short drive to Cooperstown!

Outstanding!!
Lovely home- perfect for our family visiting Cooperstown. Cindy and Orlo could not have been nicer!!! They provided everything we needed and then some-- And what a property! The location is stunning and they have a pond- Orlo was so sweet and set him up with a pole-- my son caught a fish! We were about 20 minutes from the All-Star Village for the 12 year-old baseball tournament- the drive was so beautiful we didn't mind going back and forth between games (and honestly I usually hate driving).....this area is magnificent!!! We plan to come back again and stay here. No question that this is a 5-star choice. Bravo, Cindy and Orlo!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Incredibly friendly and helpful hosts, close enough to Cooperstown to enjoy everything it has to offer and far enough away to enjoy some beautiful nature (on their own property). We will be back for sure.

wasnt very "private"
Beautiful home which the downstairs has been converted into a rental. Unfortunately, the only thing seperating the stairwell was a movable screen. The floors were wooden, and the sound traveled down that stairwell easily, with no protection. Owners were great people, but they had a schedule which consisted of waking up shortly after 6am, and creeking to their living room which was directly over my bedroom. This just doesnt represent the vrbo model of sharing of personal places.

Peaceful, restful, quiet place!
If you enjoy peaceful, restful, and quietness, this is the place! The hosts were absolutely great! Although we weren’t able to spend a lot of time on the property since our son was playing at the Cooperstown tournament, the place was clean, comfortable beds, scenic property, very quiet, and about 20-25 mins scenic drive to DreamPark and downtown Cooperstown. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

You will not be disappointed!
Rented for two nights to see my son play in the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament, and the property was more than I could have asked for. I was alone, but the property could have easily fit my family of 4 comfortably. The hostess and her husband greeted me as I came in and were super friendly and welcoming. I felt as if I was visiting family (that wanted to see me :)). The place had everything I needed, including Keurig, refrigerator, and toaster oven, not to mention linens. The place was spotless. The grounds are beautiful and I wish I had more time to enjoy them. I don’t often visit that area for pleasure, but am considering returning to enjoy what I couldn’t this time around. Ride to Dreams Park was appr. 17 min.

Beautiful Setting, Quiet Place with Room to Roam
My 10 year old daughter and I stayed at this immaculate VRBO while my husband and son were at Cooperstown Dream Park. We loved the country setting, had plenty of space for my daughter to run, she loved to swing on the property and we had a little bit of time to take advantage of the trails. The location is 20 minutes from the Dream Park. We loved the comfortable beds, I appreciated the slightly larger than hotel/dorm size frig and the gas grill. I would recommend bringing bottled water. Hosts were very accommodating and gave us plenty of privacy. We would definitely stay here again!

This 2 bedroom efficiency apartment was perfect for our stay attending the Cooperstown 12U baseball tournament. Would have liked a little larger refrigerator and some way to cook our food other than the toaster oven. Ie eggs/bacon we had bought for breakfast. We borrowed the grill to cook a burger. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very clean and scacious. In all 4⭐️

Friendly hosts and gorgeous location!
Cindy and Orlo were incredibly responsive to inquiries. They had the unit set and ready for us and were able to give us a stellar breakfast recommendation for us. They also told us about their trails (very well kept!) on the 67 acres property. If you are looking for an "off the beaten path", but absolutely breathtaking location I would highly recommend this location. There are two bedrooms each with a queen/full bed. One of us also said the couch was comfy and great to sleep on! No full kitchen, but we didn't really need it for our purposes. Thanks to Cindy and Orlo for their hospitality!

Cindy and Orlo were amazing hosts. They greeted us upon check-in and were friendly and welcoming. The rental is just as described and shown in the listing. We we visiting for an adults-only weekend in Cooperstown and they provided some great restaurant recommendations. The property is wonderfully maintained and we would love to visit again to spend more time exploring the woods and adjacent State Forest. Our hosts Cindy and Orlo were accommodating and nice. The place was pretty and immaculate, with everything necessary. We enjoyed our walk on the trails that are right off the property, and we appreciated the natural beauty. Cooperstown is not far, and we liked the peaceful setting at the Burch place. One note - the road is gravel near the property, and one way of going is seasonal, so try to use the other route if at night. Thanks for a great stay, Cindy and Orlo!

This stay was truly one of the best all around. Starting with the basics, the house had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, living room was spacious, towels fluffy, water pressure great. Most importantly, Cindy and Orlo should win some sort of hosting award. They were extremely thoughtful and truly cared about our family’s comfort. The area was also lovely. We got to explore the trails a little bit but mainly spent time in Cooperstown which was an easy car right away.

There are not enough words to say to describe the stay that we had and the fantastic hosting by Cindy and Orlo. They are the kindest, sweetest, most accommodating and gracious host that I have ever met. The property was fantastic for running, yoga, and meditating and so close to the baseball field’s and Cooper’s town to watch my son. I encourage everyone to stay with them and I wish they had more weeks available. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect getaway from big city commotion
Our stay was perfect in every way. It was the perfect distance to Cooperstown and the property owners, Cindy and Orlo, are wonderful hosts. They asked every evening when we wanted breakfast brought down the next morning. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was a pleasant surprise. Cindy and Orlo are great people who went out of their way to make our stay a memorable experience. The breakfast was very tasty. The property sits in the middle of the forest and has great access to hiking trails right out of the yard. The space is large and it was nice to have two bedrooms in addition to the main room. We went to Dreams Park and it was less than 20 minutes from the park to the house. I would definitely stay here again.
